Retired
Optical Technician
Hello,
I’m Rosie, an active, retired lady who loves animals especially cats, I would like to care for dogs but having broken my wrist 3 times, I would find walking one too scary! Before retiring I worked for the nhs in hospital laboratories in Yorkshire and before moving to Ayr from Dumfries, I volunteered at Dumfries hospital working in Critical Care and also greeting patients and visitors in the reception area. I enjoy light gardening, cooking, walking and doing puzzles. I am trying to learn to draw but am not very good.
My husband Mark, works part time as an optical technician in Newton Stewart making and repairing glasses. For exercise and pleasure, he plays golf enthusiastically and he is also a competent diy-er. He also likes to draw and paint and play guitar. He can travel to work from anywhere in Ayrshire or Dumfries and Galloway or further afield if he takes some holiday.
We have owned both cats and dogs and so know how upsetting it can be for pets to be put into catteries or kennels. We are non smokers, trustworthy, reliable and caring.
We’ll help if you need us.
Ps. The next to last photo was taken well before my grey hairs started appearing! and sadly, our cats are no longer with us.
The last photo is of Mark with a timid but playful Suki.
