Judy
We have a twelve year old black Labrador and two black cats who need looking after whilst we are on holiday. We live in a period cottage in the country but near a station and limited bus route. We have wonderful walking on our doorstep. The cottage is warm and comfortable with all mod cons. Guildford, Godalming and Haslemere are all within easy reach and we are on the doorstep of large areas of National Trust land for great walking and exploring. Our dog needs daily exercise and is very well behaved with excellent recall. We also have two fairly independent cats who only need feeding once a day. It would be necessary for any housesitter to have a car in order to shop etc.
It was an absolute delight to be able to care for the pets, house and garden for Judy and her family while they were away. We were made to feel very welcome and were provided with every detail that ensured that we were able to take on this responsibility with confidence and ease.
Thank you to Teazel, Peppa, George, Meg, Judy & Richard for being such wonderful hosts.
What a wonderful and low maintenance group of pets. Dog was adorable and so loving and lots of morning snuggles with cats.
Home was magical I highly recommend but hope we get all the sits in the future :)

First house sit through this website, just and Richard were absolutely lovely and welcoming. The historic Tudor house was warm and cosy with underfloor heating and modern appliances. Teazel, Pippa and George are gorgeous pets who stole our hearts. Teazel is such a happy well behaved dog who took me (rather than I took her) on walks and showed me where to roam. No maps required, she's a professional area tour guide. Just make sure you take some snacks as some days she could adventure for hours ... MORE
Judy left me full details and instructions in printed form - very helpful. Lovely house and great pets. Teazle (dog) was an absolute delight , so obedient and gentle - would highly recommend
We had a fabulous fortnight house-sitting for Judy and Richard in August. Everything about the sit was perfect - from the warm welcome and the hospitality we received , to the gorgeous pets - Teasle the adorable perfectly behaved black Labrador and the affectionate and characterful cats ,George and Peppa . Judy and Richard's beautiful home and garden In the lovely Surrey Hills just added to the overall pleasure of this exceptional sit . This is a sit that we would be delighted to return to.
Thoroughly enjoyed sitting for Judy and Richard, who made sure we were comfortable in their beautiful countryside home. Teazel is a gorgeous friendly black lab who is fantastic company and who is a real credit to Judy's very obvious dog whisperer skills; Teazel has excellent recall; highly intelligent and friendly nature. George and Peppa are real characters; so friendly and affectionate. Would absolutely love to see them all again: a fabulous experience!!
We really enjoyed sitting for Judy and Richard. They have a lovely house in the countryside and a gorgeous labrador and two cats. All three animals are affectionate and well behaved. Teazel the dog has very good recall when out and likes other dogs, She is very easy to take out and likes going in the car and she settled right in to us from the start. Judy and Richard were very welcoming and made us very comfortable. A great sit.

It was a real countryside break and a chance to explore the local areas with a car I hired.
The home had all amenities and was clean and comfortable. The communication was prompt and seamless.
