The welfare of our members is of utmost importance to us. As Covid-19 continues to spread, it is vital that we all do what we can to ensure the safety of ourselves, our loved ones, and our wider communities.
We therefore continue to ask our members to follow the relevant guidelines provided by the authorities.
For information on current restrictions, please refer to GOV.UK.
As the situation continues to change, it is important to ensure you are up to date with current requirements. Whether you are a homeowner or a house sitter, if you are unsure whether your house sit is in line with current guidelines, we ask that you contact the appropriate authorities.
If your house sit does meet with necessary approvals, please follow the government guidelines on ‘Meeting People Safely’ and ensure you follow physical distancing and hygiene protocols. On a house sit, this means the home must be thoroughly cleaned by the owner at the commencement of the sit, and then cleaned thoroughly by the sitter at the end of the sit. And remember – Hands, Face, Space!
If a sitter or owner has any symptoms, even mild ones, make sure you get tested and then stay home while waiting for the results.
It is important to remember that this is only temporary. There will come a time where we can travel freely again. We understand the impact this has on you as part of our house-sitting community and the uncertainty you may be feeling given the current health crisis.
Our house-sitting community will get through this and go on to thrive again, safely. Please know that you can contact us if you have any questions or need assistance at any time. As a community we will get through this together and go onto many more travel adventures.
