I would like to thank you very much for providing the facility "House Sitters" for the past three years. I have travelled the whole of the UK looking after a wide variety of pets . My wife and I have taken care of chickens, dogs, cats and horses, lots of whom needed medication and special care whilst their owners were away on holiday. It has been a great pleasure for us and has enabled us to see this beautiful country at the same time as looking after pets. I would like to thank each and every owner for trusting two strangers with their precious pets and lovely homes. We were able to visit several homes on more than one occasion and enjoyed our time immensely. We are taking some time at home this year but will return to HouseSitters as soon as we can. Yours very Sincerely, Martin & Pat

For House Owners

There is simply no better alternative than to have someone looking after your home, pets and garden while you're away.

House sitting is a very simple transaction between you and the sitter and delivers enormous value for both. Pet care, garden maintenance, house security and someone to call if there's an emergency - all of these benefits add up to one thing; PEACE OF MIND.

If you really want to relax while you're away from your home, get a house sitter. You will be amazed how good it feels to have a caring responsible person looking after things at home - for FREE*

House Sitting and Pet Minding in the UK

Free pet care

You know your pet better than you know some of your friends.

You know that they love regular routines, constant company and familiar territory. You know what food they like... etc. You also know that leaving them behind is a traumatic and destabilising experience for them.

Sending your pets to a boarding facility is even more unsettling - no matter how good the staff are, it is just not "home". Oh, and it's expensive.

A house sitter provides constant human companionship and tailored care in the animal's own home. It doesn't actually get much better than this - and it's FREE*.

House Minding and garden maintenance - for free

Free Garden Care and House Security

Gardens need constant attention. It doesn't have to be much, but it needs to be regular, or things start dying.

Most house sitters are very happy to water the plants, trim a hedge or mow a lawn. Many of them are house owners themselves and take a lot of pride in keeping a garden healthy and beautiful. And paying for garden care is expensive.

Having people in the house is the ultimate protection for your house from burglary and vandalism. A house sitter can also contact you in case of any emergency, like storm damage, a burst pipe or a sick pet. Remember that many home insurance policies don't actually cover your house if you are away for too long.

Real Peace of mind

Imagine leaving the house and knowing that everything was going to be cared for attentively until you return.

Imagine knowing that you've provided your pets with the ultimate gift - human companionship and care in their own home.

Imagine knowing that your house will be secure, your garden maintained and that there will be someone there 24/7 in case there's an emergency, or you just want to give your dog a "phone kiss".

This already happens for house owners across the UK. They leave their house and chattels in the care of a house sitter - and go on their journey with enormous peace of mind. If you want to start your time away being stress free, get a house sitter.

*FREE: House sitting is usually free, for both sitter and house owner, although this is completely up to the individuals. There are usually some costs that need to be covered by either the sitter or the house owner e.g. electricity, phone usage, vet fees etc. How these costs are handled needs to be agreed before the sit begins. House sitters pay a single annual membership fee, while house owners pay nothing to advertise their house or to contact sitters.
