I am a 52 years old animal lover. I have been around dogs and cats all my life and they are my absolutely favorite animals. I am a qualified grade school teacher and also have a bachelor in psychology. In 2019-2021 I studied a few courses in ethology, the science of animal behavior at a university here in Sweden. It was mainly focusing on dogs and cats but also general knowledge about animaIs. I am vegetarian. Sometimes if it fits into my husbands schedule I bring him along if that works for the pet owners.


I have worked as a teacher for over 20 years, same school for over 15 years, and can provide references from my work place. I have also looked after animals all my life, and I have attached one reference here but will be happy to give more if you need them. Since 2023 I am teaching Swedish online only. That means I am quite flexible with dates.

I am also a fitness instructor and an active freetime is important to me so taking care of animals or walking dogs while experience a new place is perfect for me.

I've never smoked and hardly ever drink alcohol.

I have long experience with dogs. I grew up with both cats and dogs. I have owned sheep up till 2013. I have looked after cats in four different countries, see the endorsement here next to my text.

Lisa and Jesper were brilliant house sitters. Our dog Ruby, is an older dog who reacts to other dogs when out on walks and is anxious when on her own. Lisa and Jesper dealt with this without a problem and we came back to a calm, happy and well looked after dog. For me it was a first experience leaving our pets not with anybody from family and I felt quite nervous. No rating Lisa looked after our black cat Django for a week at our Hove flat while we were on holiday from 24th June - 2nd July 2017. Lisa texted us regular updates while we were away and emailed photos, ensuring 100% peace of mind. Our cat took to Lisa from the moment he met her and almost seemed disappointed to see us back! No rating We couldn't have wished for a better house and cat sitter than Lisa.She clearly loves animals and made very good friends with our cat Rosie who is 'high maintenance' and demands a lot of attention, especially brushing.The plants were also very well looked after and the house was spotless when we returned from holiday. We would be very happy for Lisa to come and cat sit again and recommend her wholeheartedly.
