Hello, my name is Laura, I'm from the west coast of Canada, and I have been travelling as much as possible since I retired "early," in 2008. Since 2017 I've been home-free, so I now travel year-round. I enjoy visiting other countries and cultures and have a special fondness for the UK, where I spend time every year to explore further, go on walking holidays and visit friends. I love cats and have had them in my life in the past, but my travels preclude having pets of my own. I have completed sits through this and other platforms, including Trusted Housesitters. I have looked after a house-rabbit also. I am less familiar with dogs, but as a vegan, I am kind to all animals. (I currently apply only for cat-sits, occasional small-animal sits and no-pet house-sits.)

I am fully Covid-vaccinated and boosted (April 2022).

Owning a house on an island for 17 years and an apartment in the city for many years have made me self-sufficient and capable. I have completed the course at House Sitting Academy* and will attach a consolidated list of reviews to my profile. In the past several years I have rented Airbnb apartments more than 100 times and always receive positive reviews from the hosts/landlords, who describe me as clean, tidy and respectful of their homes. I am conscientious, dependable, a non-smoker and vegan.
