Hi! I'm a recently retired training manager, looking to see more of our lovely country, and get to know a few pets along the way maybe!
During my career, I've rented a few properties, sometimes solo, sometimes part of a share, and I've always been complimented on how well I look after the property, and any animals that may have been around too.
I've had cats myself in the past (not recently, as my job has meant a lot of travelling), and I've cat-, dog- and guinea pig- and flat- sat for friends when they were on holiday. Since I started house and pet sitting, I've looked after dogs, cats, chickens, and a rain gauge!
I'm pretty flexible on location, being retired, altho I need parking for my lovely motorhome, Billy, which is 7.5m long.

Another big thank you to Ruth for holding the fort during our extended holiday. After having coped with repelling the local shoot she then dealt with replacing a broken lock in addition to the everyday routine necessary to keep the place running smoothly. Finally she welcomed us home with a delicious hot meal.
We feel very confident leaving Ruth in charge and highly recommend her without hesitation.
Once again Ruth came up trumps and helped us out by being flexible with dates at a time when it really mattered. Everything in the house on our return as it was when we left plus some jars of home made preserves from our fruit. Thanks once again Ruth, looking forward to the next time.
We had already met Ruth when she was in the area earlier in the year so we had been able to explain how the house and garden operated and the essentials needed to keep things ticking over. What none of us expected was a prolonged drought which meant that the garden needed much more attention than would be normal at any time of year. Ruth was a perfect Housesitter for us as she took everything in her stride. Our old boy Rupert was in very safe hands with her and instantly love Ruth! Freeda was sold on the first walk as Ruth took her all over which she loves. Even Piper the cat was happy to share Ruth's bed! Excellent in every way. Ruth was lovely with our ageing shep and he was clearly happy when we returned. The house was spotless, she kept in touch and we've since booked her for 2 more sits. We would have Ruth back every time if geogr and her other commitments allowed. Can highly recommend.
Ruth did two sits for us in quick succession - this time she not only looked after the cats, the houseplants, garden and greenhouse-she also stacked a large firewood delivery. Definitely above and beyond. Would have her back anytime and hopefully we will!
Ruth is a fantastic sitter - we enjoyed meeting her before we set off and left confident that our home was in safe hands. We returned to a very tidy house, happy pets and a meal ready to be heated up which was delicious. Highly recommended.
