Meet us in our short intro video! (Just 20 secs long, in the photos section.)

We are an active, semi-retired, non-smoking couple from the Cotswolds. Reliable, responsible and trustworthy, with experience of house- and pet-sitting. Both of us have cared for cats, rabbits, dogs and horses. We each grew up with dogs, and have owned rescue cats and rabbits. We look after pets for our neighbours, including a rescue cat and a rescue dog. John also volunteers regularly as a dog walker for a local dog rescue charity. Theresa has experience of looking after horses (and a mule!) and has completed NVQ horse care qualifications, and CPD-accredited animal care courses, including a Pet Sitting and Dog-Walking Diploma. Theresa has also completed Pet First Aid training, and is currently learning about animal psychology.

Our working lives have been in healthcare and education, and we enjoy dancing, walking and seeing new places. Our enthusiasm for history and travel has led us to visit most parts of the UK, but there are still many places for us to explore. Both of us have volunteered with several charities and community organisations over the years, including the Scout Association and Riding for the Disabled, and John is an active member in our local drama group, both on stage and off.

Of course we do not charge anything for our services and genuinely see the service that we provide as an opportunity to help others, visit new places and take care of your pets. We are happy to housesit locally as well as further afield, working from home occasionally which means that we are around to look after your home and pets. As homeowners ourselves, we take the responsibility of looking after your home seriously, including being mindful of energy costs (eg not leaving lights switched on) and knowing what to do in an emergency. We want you to feel reassured that your home will be well looked after whilst you are away, with regular updates from us so that you know your pets are being well cared for.

Please feel free to get in touch and we would be happy to schedule an informal video call so that we can introduce ourselves and get to know you (and you know us) a little better. We are DBS-checked, and have public liability insurance.

Theresa is courteous, and communicated really well. She sent a daily update when I was away, with pics of my animals. I had little to do upon my return, as the bed linen and towels were already washed. There were also flowers on the table with a little note. Theresa is level headed and responsible, and I would highly recommend her as a sitter.

Theresa and John were so lovely and fun! Their communication was fantastic and organisation was on point. I felt completely comfortable while I was away; I came home to two happy cats and all of the bedding and towels washed (a huge added bonus). I’d highly recommend them for any sit.
