We are Judith and Arny McCleary, a married couple from County Durham.
We are both ex-civil servants, with each of us having worked in management positions in the Civil Service for over 30 years. We now own an online book-selling business, which leaves us flexible to travel, and to watch over your beloved pets and homes.
We are a very respectable, reliable, honest and trustworthy couple who love travelling and meeting new people (and pets!). We've had quite a few pets over the years, so we certainly know how to give them the very best care and attention.

How lucky were we to find such a wonderful couple to look after our little cat family. We also have 4 dogs, but they were away on holiday with us for this sit. Judith and Arny were perfect sitters, Really easy to communicate with and it was a pleasure welcoming them into our home.
Our house we left spotless and clean and they had laundered and remade the bed which was very muc appreciated.
Bertie was extremely well cared for and settled in with them really well

Judith and Arny were perfect housesitters. Very experienced in doing this, so were relaxed about the whole process. They kept in contact while we were away (but not too much) and left the house in an immaculate state. Our pets were very well looked after. We would love for them to stay again.

We were lucky enough to get Judith and Arny to house sit for us again . Knowing they know the dogs and the dogs know them made us feel very relaxed , they were in safe hands!. The dogs love them as much as we do . We were sent photos of the dogs enjoying their walks and felt completely at ease knowing they were in safe hands .
House was left immaculate too and left us with clean bedding on our bed for our return .
Can't recommend Judith and Arnie highly enough .

Wow! Judith and Arny were just fantastic house sitters, I can't praise them enough. They are such lovely warm people and obviously huge animal lovers, we felt completely happy leaving our brood in their care.
Communication was great, we had updates and photos during the week we were away which was lovely.
The house was immaculate when we got back - probably more so than before we left! Army also cut the grass despite the weather being extremely hot.

Judith and Arnie are the best. They have become repeat sitters for us and have never let us down.
This was a short New Year sit for them here, a 3 night
break, but as usual, the 'boys' were cuddled and well looked after. The house is always as good as it was when we left it (or even better).
Due to their excellent service J&A get booked up quickly, so if you want them, we'd highly recommend them. Hope to see you here again later in the year J&A

They are such a great couple and we have come back to a beautifully clean house, amazing looking garden and a very happy dog and cat. From the moment Judith and Arny walked in and the dogs all rushed up to say hello we know that we were leaving our home and dogs in excellent care. Judith and Arne were fantastic housesitters whilst we were away for a week this February. They looked after our home and spoiled pooch with love and care, we even received daily picture updates! Our home was cleaner than we left it and I would not hesitate to ask them back again, I'm only sorry we weren't able to meet in person. Wonderful people.

Judith and Arnie sat for us this time for a 6 week sit!!
Our lovely dog is poorly and on lots of meds and they cared for her as if she was their own.
We were relaxed about leaving her for this long time only because they are so caring and loving towards her - I completely trusted them.
Our home was so clean and tidy on our return and they had thoughtfully left us milk in the fridge too
I cannot recommend them enough - they are complete stars ⭐️

Judith and Arny were absolutely brilliant - a really warm friendly couple. The dog and cat looked fantastic as did our house, which was spotless and much cleaner than I'd left it!. Judith had also gone to the trouble of washing (and ironing!) the bedlinen and towels which was a wonderful surprize.
I would highly recommend them to anyone and I hope we'll be able to get them back again to sit .

We couldn't believe our luck finding Judith and Arny! They are such generous, caring and trustworthy people which is what you need when leaving your home and pets in someone elses hands. They followed our instructions to the T and picked everything up super fast. Looking after a sanctuary sounds like afternoons spent on the grass enjoying cuddles from lambs and reading a book but it actually comes with a lot of hard work, physically and mentally, and Judith and Arny not grasped everything ... MOREWe couldn't believe our luck finding Judith and Arny! They are such generous, caring and trustworthy people which is what you need when leaving your home and pets in someone elses hands. They kept in touch which was nice as I loved seeing updates on the animals but they weren't messaging every few hours asking questions and how to do something, which was amazing as it allowed us to really switch off as much as possible and enjoy our break. They are super clean and tidy and I would recommend them to everyone as they will look after your home like it was their own and if you have animals then you need people like Judith and Arny. They are welcome back anytime for a visit to the sanctuary and a cup of tea or to look after the sanctuary if we were to have another break.
