I have been house sitting in Australia since March 2018, the main purpose being to escape the long Australian summer, which is when I return to the UK.
I returned to the UK mid October 2023 and returned to Australia 10April 2024, where I remain until October 2024, when I again return to the UK.
I will consider pet/house sits in most Regions, including Islands - I have completed a pet/house sit at Lerwick, Shetland
I intersperse housesits with mainly online attendance at financial and business/finance functions, and do attend sessions in person within the UK (mainly London & Dublin)
Housesitting is an ideal means of experiencing local life and escaping the heat, as well as deciding on the area I would like to live.
I have endorsements from both Australia that are transferable to the UK, and from within the UK.
I am an Australian of British descent & have an Ancestry Visa.
I am an active female who loves animals and am willing to provide whatever care you would provide yourself for your beloved pet(s). I also enjoy gardening and I set aside time to walk for 1hr/day even when raining.
I am a non-smoker and non-drinker & will care for your place & pets as I would my own.
I have run my own businesses since mid 1980's including 13yrs as Principal/Proprietor of a Private Tertiary College, although I no longer have the college.
I will be there for your pet(s) as I now work mainly online, so it is irrelevant where I am located, especially as I have worked with/in IT all my working life.
Within Australia and the UK, I have completed house sits from a few days to 3.5mths. All house sits have included cats, dogs, birds, rabbits & goldfish but I also love gardening and am happy to tend a garden if needed.
I prefer a location with reasonable access to transport althoug not restricted to public transport as i do use Uber, Bolt etc.
I'm very creative about how I get to places altho for a longer housesit, I'd consider acquiring a vehicle.

Dianne is the loveliest person who took on quite a challenge with my 2 indoor cats. Daisy is poorly and requires insulin injections twice a day. Dianne stayed with us before the sit so could witness how they are done and practice beforehand. Both cats are fed different diets, so nothing was straight forward. Nadine was an excellent sitter I can highly recommend her. Nadine came and visited prior to the sit to help get to know the cats which was very nice. She took time to understand their needs and really bonded with them in the short time that she was here.
Nadine communicated really well sending photo updates and messages in their routines and how their bond was developing.

Nadine was lovely & well presented when we met. Sadly, she told us she is sensitive to wifi & electricity frequencies around her. At 2.5weeks of her 7m housesit, she was upset, frantic & couldn’t sleep because of the frequencies & alleged ray guns being shot through the house.
Every room in our house appeared slept in, she had changed our cats food without asking, causing vomiting & she still has possession of our garage remote control.
Luckily, our house was left well presented.

Couldn't have chosen a better sitter..The kitties adored her, she took care of them as if they were her own, with great affection. Sent us daily texts and pictures of the kits so we didnt miss them too much Treated our home as if it was her own too, very clean and tidy when we returned home, as if we'd never been away. Will definitely try and secure Dianne for our next vacation, whenever that is.

We thank Dianne for also reinforcing some training, we came home to a more obedient Millie; to our surprise she didn't run for the door and stayed still when one of us was leaving the house.
All in all we found Millie super happy and we felt that Dianne had grown a very nice bond with our little puppy which was great to see. We would highly recommend Dianne as she definitely has a great way with animals, I am sure Millie misses her a lot!

This was my first time using a house sitter so I was very nervous, I have 2 elderly dogs that need medication.
I couldn't have asked for a better house sitter. Dianne was outstanding and went above and beyond to care for my pets.
My dogs got ill and stopped eating during our time away so Dianne hand fed them and purchased extra food to try and get them to eat. She was always quick to reply to my emails and provided me with detailed and frequent updates about the cats. As a result of Nadine's high level of care, I did not worry while I was away as I knew that my pets, house and garden were in very capable and respectful hands. She even visited Miss Puss in the vet hospital to give her cuddles and try to get her to eat. Puss is recovering very well now, and it is thanks to Nadine's care and vigilance. I am very happy to recommend Nadine highly as a house minder who is respectful of your home, an excellent communicator, and sensitive to animals.

Nadine sat for my elder dog Charlie for a month.
My dog loves having company and Nadine was able to work from home and provide that for him. Charlie was walked everyday, twice if he felt up to it.
