I am looking for a house sit in the South West of England when I visit relatives. I live in Tasmania and I am looking to arrange my next visit from 21st September through to beginning of November 2024. Dates can be flexible depending on the availability of a housesit especially if it’s for a number of weeks. My son works as a graphic designer remotely from his home so if there is a possibility of him being able to join me at the house sit I could also consider houses in Wales or the south coast.

I had a cottage type property with an acre of land about 10 miles from Kidderminster before my wife and daughter moved to Australia in 2019, after I retired from teaching. We now have our own dog, cat, fish, guinea pig, chickens and ducks so looking after any pets you can be sure that they would be cared for as if they were our own. Light gardening, mowing lawns and watering plants can be carried out if required.

On arrival in Tasmania, before moving into our own house on the West Coast of Tasmania, we undertook several housesits around the state. We remain good friends with two owners and for one we looked after their large home and gardens, vegetable plot, dog, cat and chickens. four times,. They are obviously willing to provide references for you.

I usually visit the UK on my own and hire a car for the duration of my stay, My last visit in early April this year lasted three weeks but I am looking to stay up to six weeks next time with dates being flexible depending on the house sits available. I'm not eager to go out and about too far as I've been to many places during my life in the UK and I'll be quite content to meet up with my relatives between housesitting responsibilities.
