I have been around animals most of my life. I grew up a country girl and have spent most of my working career overseas. I have owned cats, dogs, hens, ducks and guinea pigs, and am close friends with two African grey parrots! I have fostered animals too, and I was an RSPCA registered foster carer for cats in Hong Kong. I am often called upon by family and friends to house and pet -sit.
I am semi-retired, still teaching and doing some educational consultancy work, so am very flexible as long as I have internet facilities to do a small amount of work. I do like change, and adapt very quickly to wherever I am and whatever I am doing, and take responsibility very seriously

Barbara was a great sitter, reliable and a pleasure to have looking after Sammy. She communicated well, giving plenty of notice regarding a change in her leaving date and kept us up to date on Sammy while we were away. We thoroughly recommend her and hope that she will return to cat/ house sit.
It was a pleasure having Barbara looking after our home whilst we were away. She gave us great confidence that our home and animals were safe in her hands. She kept in touch with us to let us know that she and the animals were all well and enjoying themselves throughout our stay. Barbara was a wonderful house-sitter for our dog and cat over Christmas. She kept me up to date with how both pets were doing . They had a lovely time with her.. I definitely recommend Barbara for house and pet sitting !
Barbara came to stay for a week whilst we were away and our 3 cats and dog all fell in love with her and had a lovely relaxing time. She kept us updated regularly with pictures and anecdotes throughout, and the house was beautifully clean and organised on our return. A lovely lady who we hope will come and house sit for us again.

We cannot speak more highly of our wonderful Aunty Barbara. She kindly came to look after our gang at short notice. They all loved her (and I suspect the doggies had more walkies than usual!). We could not have been happier to have Barbara as our sitter and would wholeheartedly recommend her. Communication was great, she looked after seedlings in the polytunnel really well, practised yoga with the cats every morning (one of them is still partaking) and she waited for us to return despite having a family matter to get back to. Wonderful person, welcome anytime :)
This was our first use of House Sitters so we were natuarally apprehensive. We had several suitors but chose Barabara because of her experience and prior good reviews. We made the right choice!
Due t0 a very early flight, Barabara stayed with us the night before and that certainly put our mind at rest. She is obviously a dog lover and bonded with our golden retrievers almost immediately. It was a delight to have Barbara looking after my home, and pets for the weekend. Poppy (dog) clearly bonded with her, as did Jezzy (cat). Barbara made sure they each got special attention from her and she took very good care of the house too. Communication was excellent throughout and I thoroughly recommend her as a first-class housesitter.

Barbara is an excellent house and pet sitter, she immediately got my cats' quirky personalities and medical ailments and took them in her stride.
Communication was excellent before and during the house sit, I came home to an immaculately clean house and 2 happy cats.

Barbara is such a lovely, caring person.... And we so enjoyed spending an evening with her here before we went to Wales. She managed everything so calmly and and capably .... And kept us up to speed with her management of the cats demanding emotional needs! We were lucky to have her, and hope she will come again.....
Barbara is an excellent choice for a housesitter. I would definitely ask her to sit for us again. She looked after our house, pets and garden with great care for two weeks - I think the dogs missed her when she left!. Barbara's communication before and during the sit was excellent. I very much she wont be too busy to come back to us again another year!
There is nothing more secure than having people at home while you're away. Get a house sitter.
