Hi thanks for reading my profile. I'm Martin and have done lots of pet/house sits- which I very much enjoy doing.
I've looked after dogs (various breeds), cats, fish, chickens, and birds in an aviary.
I work freelance online and enjoy this. I'm also able to move around and do house sitting anywhere there is an opportunity.
I like pets, cleaning, gardening and anything involved with this. Also I don't have a car and so travel by train and coach. Therefore if a sit requires a driver, I'm unable to unfortunately.

Martin is delightful, he responded to my ad right away and was extremely flexible making sure to meet me early in the morning before my flight to meet and hand over keys.

Martin is the loveliest man. In fact he is the Mary Poppins of house sitters.
Communication prior to his sit was great and I instantly liked him during our what's app video call.
When we met, instantly you could sense his warmth and that he lives animals.

Martin looked after my 3 year old Spaniel Lola while I was visiting my daughter in Australia. I came home to a happy Lola and an immaculate house. I was in touch with Martin regularly whilst I was away and it all went very smoothly. It was great to not have to worry about Lola. This was my first experience of using Housesitters and it all worked well. I would not hesitate to recommend Martin and hope he will be available for my next holiday.
We were able to meet with Martin for a few hours prior to us leaving on holiday and found him to be a courteous, helpful and friendly person. During our time away he kept in touch, asking questions about things he thought might need doing and letting us know about telephone calls etc. We returned to a clean, tidy house and a contented cat and chickens. We'd definitely invite Martin back to house sit for us again.
Martin was our life saver on the first day of our holiday. Our original confirmed house sitter did not turn up on the day of our holiday nor responded to any comms from us. We had to urgently find someone on the day we were going away! Martin came to our rescue, and to the rescue of the hens and the cats. Martin was great, he paid a lot of attention to our cat Spud - on our return Spud is so chilled out and has obviously had a good time. The chickens and rabbit have been well looked after too. The house was left clean and tidy, he even put the sheets in the washing machine so I just had to put them in the tumble dryer. We would like him to sit for us again.
I don't think you could ask for or find a kinder house sitter. Martin looked after our lovely girls and home better than we could have ever hoped. Feeling incredibly grateful ! Thank you so much Martin!
Just like all the other reviews, I have to say Martin was excellent in all aspects. He was friendly and communicative throughout, and was kind enough to arrive at our place VERY early on the day we were to depart so that we could do the hand over and then travel for or early flight. He cared for our cat very well and left the house sparkling clean. Highly recommended cat sitter!
Martin was a great catsitter! It was relatively short notice and Martin was friendly and easy to communicate with to get everything arranged. The house was perfect when we came home and our cat was very happy too. Would definitely recommend Martin!
Martin was a fantastic house and cat sitter. On my return the cats were happy, the house was beautifully clean and tidy and he definitely deserves several extra stars for all the watering of the garden and my many pots that he did during the mini heatwave while I was away! He kept in regular contact via WhatsApp and I would certainly recommend him and would be very happy if he was able to do another sit for me in the future.

Exceptional sitter. Without his care and early intervention, one of our cats might have lost an eye through a corneal abrasion. Thanks to his early diagnosis and attention to the detail of the vet's treatment regime, her sight has been saved and the eye continues to improve day by day.

Martin looked after our beloved dog Maggie and our house for a couple of weeks during the Christmas period, while we were away. Finding Martin saved our Christmas: he took great care of Maggie, took her our for long walks every day and kept her happy, safe and entertained. Never having used house sitters before I wasn't sure if this was a good idea. However Martin was fantastic, he communicated with me throughout our holiday, was easy to talk to & took great care of our pets & home. I returned back to very happy pets & a perfect clean & tidy house. Couldn't have wished for a better sitter.

Martin was a wonderful house sitter, coming at short notice for 2 days in July to look after out cat. He was excellent at communicating before-hand and during the weekend which was reassuring as this was the first time we had used housesittersuk. He spent time with the cat, played with her and she was clearly relaxed and happy when we got home.

Martin is very reliable and handled our pets with great care and attention. He gave us regular updates and followed the care programme for our dog to the the letter. Martin looked after our house and much loved cat for three weeks over the Christmas/New Year period. He did a great job, house was clean and tidy and most important cat very happy. I would recommend him.
Martin looked after my dog and 2 cats for 2 weeks in September 2015. He was very kind and caring towards the animals and took good care of the house. He walked my dog regularly and gave them all lots of cuddles, especially my old cat who needs to be coaxed to eat. I cannot recommend him highly enough and will certainly use him again!
Martin was incredibly easy to deal with. He responded swiftly to the advert and any messages I sent (given I'd not used the service before, there were quite a few!).
He was kind enough to travel down to meet us and the cats before the actual house visit and as soon as the cats responded to him during this initial meet, I knew he would be fine.
