Our Experience:

Hey there, Cassie & Mark here! We're excited for the opportunity to meet your pets and keep your homes in tip-top shape while you are away. Mark and I have cared for dogs and cats of many different breeds, ages, and needs. We have been full time pet sitters for over a year now starting on January 1st, 2023; many of our sits have been 1 month or longer. We’ve never looked back since.

We’ve had the pleasure of caring for 17 perfect cats, 3 lovely dogs, and counting! The cats have ranged in age from 2 to 15 years old and have had a variety of food needs and medical conditions. We have firsthand experience in handling emergency medical situations, including taking a kitty to the vet and providing post-operative care (don’t worry, he’s fine!). We’re skilled with administering medication orally via syringe and a cat inhaler. In order to make sure your pets are in the best hands, we are also certified in Cat & Dog First Aid/CPR.

Over the past year we’ve also experienced many situations that come with home ownership including plumbing emergencies, power failure, and water outages. During times like these we know it’s important to keep a calm head and to have good communication with our hosts. Fortunately, all of our hosts have been amazing and the situations have been resolved quickly.

Before becoming full time house sitters Mark raised a mini Australian shepherd from 8 weeks to 1 year old. Raising her from such a young age gave him valuable experience in dealing with puppies and the immense attention and care that they require (especially Australians - SO much energy!). He’s also cared for a very sweet Blue Heeler on several occasions. I have the most experience with smaller to medium breeds - Terriers, Frenchies, and Golden Doodles. I’ve spent time living with and caring for a senior French Bulldog and have also cared for a sassy long haired cat named Winifred for 3 years. I used to own many different types of house plants and my apartment was filled with them.

Mark is really looking forward to running and playing with your pets and Cassie has two arms and is ready to snuggle them until you're back.

About Us:

Cassie works as a UX designer and loves to spend her time reading, eating ice cream, and petting your cat. Mark has a background in technology and currently works as an artist and musician. He will never say no to live music of any type. Mark's also a massive lover of the arts and spends a lot of his free time shooting photography, writing short films, and watching movies.

The valuable company we get from your four legged family members is essential to us for not getting lonely in these new places. We love getting to know the different personalities of all the pets we meet and always become very attached in the time we spend together. We're both flexible, adapt to change and challenging situations with ease, and are very tidy.

House sitting has changed our lives and we’re incredibly grateful for the opportunities it’s given us. We can’t wait to meet more amazing hosts and love some very cute animals. See you soon!
