Originally from Scotland, I'm a professional Archivist who works part time for a not-for-profit organisation based in central London. I work in a hybrid mode which means that I can spend quite a lot of time at home with your animal friend, as long as you have good wi-fi!
I've been pet-sitting in parallel to my paid work since 2019, as I save hard to build my very own Grand Design eco-home one day. As well as genuinely loving animals, this makes me highly motivated to take excellent care of your home and pets and continue to build up a portfolio of regular clients.
A good Archivist (which I like to think I am) is responsible, organised, contemplative, resourceful and empathetic. Qualities which also make a good housesitter, I reckon. I'm also a well-travelled non-smoker and a quietly living, low maintenance gal with enhanced DBS certification and triple Covid jabs.

Gillian looked after our two cats and house for a week whilst we were on holiday.
She provided excellent care for the cats who clearly lived having her company.
Gillian provided good communication throughout and is clearly very experienced in housesitting.
Gillian came to take care of our house & foster cat for a little over a week while we were in Scotland and she did an excellent job. Firstly she had no objection to us meeting before the sit, which greatly reassured us, and was very respectful of our rules. She gave us news and photos and overall we felt a great peace of mind knowing that she was in our home caring for it & the garden & our foster cat. We would highly recommend her as a house sitter!
It was a joy to meet Gillian and we bonded very quickly over our mutual love of cats. She's a lovely person, genuine, caring and sensitive. She looked after Edie the cat incredibly, sending me photos and pointing out at little quirky traits that I hadn't even noticed. Gillian really cares about the well-being of her pets. Gillian is friendly and accommodating. She came to the house a day before to get acquainted to the wishes of my kitty, the particulars of the wee flat.
i received pictures and updates and nothing seemed to phase her - no matter how many times m'lady threw up or even went into the wrong close to get some sympathy off of unsuspecting people.
