A friendly, caring, kind-hearted individual, I love nothing more than spending time with animals, walking, snuggling on the sofa with a gorgeous bundle of fur (or feathers - lots of experience with budgies!) and looking after them.
I have been an owner of (and owned by) numerous wonderful animals over the year - dogs, cats, fish, birds, mice, chickens and more! I have experience of caring for rescue animals, and spent a glorious 16 years being loved by a rescue cat, who spent the first 6 months of her life cowering, but came to trust and love me, and we were best buddies for many years.
Plenty of experience with dogs, too, having been around, and helped with, guide dog puppies for more than a decade. Walking, poop scooping and grooming are all fine by me (and cuddling and playing with!)
I have experience of house sitting (see below for a quote from my latest completed sit) and am respectful that I am sharing the space of your much loved home, and will do my upmost to take great care of it.

We cannot praise Karen highly enough. She looked after our home for twelve months whilst we explored Australia and we quickly realised we had left the care of our property in very capable hands. Karen coped with boiler and WiFi problems and arranged prompt repairs. Communication was easy and we feel extremely fortunate to have found her. Karen looked after our home and our senior cat Minnie while we were abroad. She took the time to come around and meet us beforehand so we could see if she was a good fit for Minnie. Great communication before sit and it was lovely getting updates whilst we were away. I cannot recommend Karen highly enough, she is very competent on caring for your pet and full of practical common sense. I hope she would like to sit again as we would have your back anytime.
Karen was the perfect person to look after our beloved home and pets while we were away. She kept us regularly updated which gave us peace of mind so that we could enjoy our time away. The house was spotless upon our return and our normally anxious dog Hendrix was very calm and happy in her presence. She had also given our chickens their medicine as requested and taken great care of them too. Karen obviously has a lot of experience in housesitting and we would highly recommend her to anyone.

We have just arrived home to find a happy cat, clean and tidy house and even the bed sheets washed and hung out to dry. Karen did a great job. She kept in touch while we were away giving us peace of mind, she arrived on time and gave Poochie lots of attention. We highly recommend Karen.

Karen was the perfect house sitter. From the outset she was great at communicating with us and throughout her stay we received regular updates and pictures of the cats happily hanging out on the sofa. The house was left beautifully clean too! I'd definitely recommend Karen as a house sitter and she'd be very welcome to come to our place to look after our two terrors!

We were very happy to have found Karen to house sit and look after our two boys (young, active male cats). Karen took great care of our cats - treated like Princes she said! - and home and we are thankful that she did a lovely job. Both boys loved her which helped give us peace of mind whilst away.

I highly recommend Karen as a house sitter and pet sitter. I had never had a house sitter before but talking to Karen on the phone and then meeting her, I felt completely at ease entrusting my home and 6 cats to her. I was worried about leaving my cats, particularly as four of them are 17 and 18 years old and two of them have renal problems and require special renal food. Karen took great care of our family home and also cared for our dog Jed, giving him daily walks and feeding him as is his usual routine. Karen took on responsibility for the house and kept in contact with us during the house-sit to reassure us that all was well. I can thoroughly recommend her.
