Hello! We're Chris and Isla, it's nice to meet you.
I'm Chris, a GP living with my partner Isla. We are now working remotely and so have a lot of flexibility which we would like to make the most of. I wanted to be a vet before I went to medical school so I've always had a fondness for animals. I have had cats and fish (and a blackbird I rescued!) in my lifetime. I have also spent time on a farm in the Cotswolds and helped at lambing season.
I'm Isla, a freelance facilitator and entrepreneur. I have had many pets in my life. Dogs, cats, and hamsters. I've years of experience working in pet shops, grooming and looking after pets and I often look after our neighbours dogs / cats whilst they're away.
We are both very tidy and good at caring for a property, we live a sober lifestyle and are vegetarian/vegan (but don't mind if others aren't, and are happy to feed animals what they like!).
In 2021, we looked after Bengal cats in the Forrest of Dean and then went on to look after a farm in Norfolk, with chickens, ferrets, Guinea fowl and dogs.
We're looking for new sits in 2022! We do paid and unpaid sits, depending on the nature of the sit and our availability at the time. Open to requests!
Chris and Isla were exceptional housesitters. They looked after the house and animals so well. They left our house immaculately and we would be delighted to have them back. I can't recommend them enough. The animals were cared for and loved. They are genuine animal lovers! The kitchen was spotless and there were even flowers and some hand painted stones for us on our return.
Chris was a great sitter. He replied to messages promptly and was very flexible with arrival and departure times. He took wonderful care of our cat, Tommy, and sent us daily updates - this was much appreciated! We returned to a clean and tidy flat. Thank you!
Isla was a fabulous sitter. Communication was easy from the start and she was keen to meet virtually and familiarise herself with my needs.
Pets appeared well looked after on our return and that's the most important bit for me, really, so top marks.
I'd happily recommend Isla for any sit. She is relaxed, experienced and builds confidence and trust early on. I would welcome her back to sit again if she so chooses.

Chris and Isla actually moved house a few days before the arranged sit, and they still honoured the arrangement we had made, for which we were very grateful. They could easily have backed out or asked us to at least try and get replacement sitters, but they went ahead even though it wasn't ideal for them. We really were very grateful as it meant we went away stress free and ready to actually enjoy ... MORE
Chris and Isla kept the place sparkling clean and the animals loved them. A really lovely couple. You're welcome back any time!
There is nothing more secure than having people at home while you're away. Get a house sitter.
