Hi there! My name is Steph, and I’m an experienced housesitter from Australia (Melbourne) who is coming to the UK for a few months in 2024.


I have felt drawn to visit for many years, and am looking forward to becoming more familiar with various parts of Great Britain. I would love to find a few housesits whilst I am over there, so I can find my bearings a bit and experience everyday life in new places.

My ideal holiday is not one where I am constantly on the go and cramming everything in; I get more pleasure from taking in the landscapes, or local cafes/restaurants/pubs, and being able to enjoy a slower pace. It would be wonderful to spend my time with beloved pets — I have lived with animals my entire life, and absolutely adore them.


I do not drink or smoke, and I also do not drive (even in Australia!), so I am looking to take sits with some access to public transport (within about a mile or two, ideally). Of course, if there is a local taxi service or Uber servicing the area, I can also do infrequent trips that way, for groceries and the like.


My plane lands in late-February, so I am hoping to do at least a few sits between then and mid-May, between more active, “typical” travelling. This means I will be relying on phone and/or video calls to “meet” homeowners before leaving Australia. I realise this isn’t ideal for everyone, and no offence will be taken if this doesn’t fit your requirements.
