I am a retired Management & Search Consultant, who loves most animals, I am, especially fond of cats. I have had several over the years including a one eyed Siamese called " Nelson", - all lived to a great age!..
I lived in London for over 30 years, & grew up in the country, I currently own a property abroad where I like to spend several months a year. Due to the pandemic I was unable to travel to my own property, therefore I continued to House & Pet Sit since the second lockdown in 2020. I have family living in London & the Home Counties, & would be interested in House Sitting in these areas: London, Greater London, South East & South West, - I am prepared to travel further afield if necessary with my travel expenses to be re-imbursed from London, for a minimum of 2-3 weeks, with a preference ideally of 1-2 months or with consideration of up to 6 months.
As a Grandmother of 5 , I have always regularly cared for my family & friends homes & various pets, including dogs, cats, fish, etc..
I am keen to discuss House Sits with specific dates from - AUGUST ‘2024, for a caring family who have property &/may have pets needing some TLC , whilst their owners are away, as well as taking on full responsibly for the care & security of a home, I am happy to do "light" gardening/ watering as & when required.
As a property & business owner for over 35 years, I know how important it is to have someone utterly trustworthy , & totally reliable to care for your property & pets in your absence.
I am energetic, healthy, & lead a full & active life, a non smoker, a car driver of over 40 years. My interests are wide & varied, I have been fortunate to have travelled extensively over the years, - I include my interest in the local history of wherever I House sit, painting landscapes, the Arts, reading & writing , etc..
I have references from all the people for whom I have House & Pet sat., - many with repeat bookings, - I have completed over 36 sittings of from 2 weeks to 3 months (see also attached reference copies which are via another website, - these have to be included within the photo section)- all are very happy to be used as References , as are the House owners whose Sittings I received within days of joining this website in 2019 - one of my first House Sittings was where the Property & Pet Owners were in the process of moving abroad, - this involved a considerable amount of added responsibility & knowledge which included being able to deal with various emergencies - a burst water pipe!... a large glass skylight roof which collapsed onto me during the storms of February '22....(the Home Owners were in N Z to be married on the actual day this occurred !!!....)
..I accepted another Sitting where the family were also relocating abroad, & I had the full responsibility to liaise with the Pet Transport company, Estate Agents & showing prospective buyers round the house, their Shippers/storage etc...
( NB. I have an up to date DBS Police Check Certificate)
The majority of my sittings have been within the Greater London area, - (my home base is currently in London ) .I am prepared to travel outside of the Greater London area to within a 50 mile radius. I do require my travel costs to be reimbursed from my home base in Central London to wherever I house /pet sit . I am happy to do light gardening & watering of plants, plus routine household requirements, etc...

Sallie house sat and looked after our rag doll kitten for 5 weeks while we were in NZ. She had to deal with many obstacles while we were gone. Our skylight fell on her during a terrible storm to name one. She handled them so professionally and was even able to laugh at the situation. Her communication was incredible during her whole sit. Sallie was the first house sitter that we have used and we were initially worried about how Mermsy would react to a stranger. They soon became friends so our minds were put at rest. She sent lots of messages and photos and responded quickly to any messages that we sent. She looked after the garden and left the house very clean and tidy. I will be a shame if she can not come back to sit again at the end of August when we go away again.
