I am Malaysian Chinese. I came to the UK aged 18 and have lived in England ever since. I am now retired. Before I retired, I worked in the NHS and the local Council in Public Health as a project manager. I have 2 daughters, one lives in London and one in the USA. My partner passed away a couple of year ago and I am now single. Recently, I sold my home as I needed to downsize.
I am now undertaking house sitting as I am exploring options.
I am a non smoker and keen gardener. I lead a quiet life and enjoy sewing and hiking. I have vast experience of cats and dogs as they were part of my house hold for about 15 years. I don't have any pets now as they are not compatible with my current situation. The 3 dogs pictured belongs to my daughter, who lives in Arkansas, USA. I was looking after them when she was away. The ginger dog which is a family pet , a Gernan Spitz was send over to my daughter when it became apparent I was not in a situation to accomodate him.
I have completed several house sits now and have received excellent reviews. I can provide references if required. I also am DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service ) checked and have pet sitting insurance.
Communication was excellent. I received photos and updates every day of Tippex. Garden care was excellent -lawns mowed . Koon also potted some plants for us. Home care -bit more care needed which Koon is aware of. Koon asked for four days out which I was able to cover with another sitter and asked to leave on 30th so we didn’t get to do a proper handover which we would usually and prefer to do.,.
Koon looked after Charlie Farley very well.
I was very annoyed that she broke all the cording at bottom of my vertical blind, so I cannot draw it over anymore.
She left the top of my cooker hob covered in fat/ oil splashes, & had made no attempt to clean it, she also broke the hinge on lid of dog kibble container, I am very disappointed that she has treated my home without any care, & has broken things that cannot be repaired., my previous pet sitter left my home exactly the same as she ... Koon was vero communicative and reliable throughout the whole of her stay. She made sure she got here before we left very early in the morning to catch our flight. We had regular updates on our cat Sophie - she was very happy when we came back! She needs daily medication and Koon followed all our instructions very carefully. Would definitely recommend her.
Koon looked after our house for the second time! We were lucky she was free for a return visit. She looked after our cat, plants and house with real care and attention and kept us up to date with all that was going on at all times. I sent a couple of message requests whilst we were away and all were dealt with very promptly. We were welcomed back to a clean and tidy house and happy pet. Thank you!
Koon actually sat for us from March 1st to March 8th and was very helpful to us by offering to change from the original. dates shown
She is a very friendly person full of life and energy. with a good sense of humour
The house was left extremely tidy , she kept in touch as necessary and got on well with dog Millie .We could not ask for more and she would be welcome to return anytime
Koon stepped in an emergency situation driving from Brighton to Lancashire in her smallish car to help us out. She took care of our three Great Pyrenean crosses and our mini labradoodle. The dogs loved her and did we. You could not hope to meet a more caring gentle amusing and kind person than Koon. We had to make a quick change to our travel plans because of a family bereavement and Koon offered to help. So thank you for being flexible when you had your own travel and family arrangements. Communication was timely, Poppy well cared for and house sorted with a handover to the next sitters. Made good contact with neighbours. Would recommend for future house sits.
From the very start Koon was communicative and reliable. She made the house sit her priority even when she left something at her house before she came! She made sure she got here before we left.. We had daily communication from Koon, she was reliable, responsible anr trustworthy! We arrived home to the house the same as we left it and 2 happy tired doggies 😊. Would recommend her, she gets the job done.
This was the first time I have used House sitters UK. I was somewhat nervous about it as we were away for 3 weeks. I shouldn’t have been because we had the best house-sitter ever!
Koon put us at ease and came and visited before we went away to familiarise herself with our house and needs. We have a cat who is quite shy and she has been looked after brilliantly.

Koon did a great job here - all plants and seedlings cared for and watered.
Rocket was calm and happy - they seemed to have bonded very well.
I always worry when I leave but I had no need to with Koon who managed perfectly.
