Hello,
We are a couple from the UK who are currently renting a property in Wakefield, West Yorkshire following a year travelling around Australia in 2017/18 where our house sitting journey began.
We love the opportunies that house sits offer for us whilst working full time in education settings. Therefore, term time is not always an option for us unless you are situated close to Wakefield or Leeds, so half terms and the summer are usually our preferred time to travel.
We both adore animals and have grown up in households where pets are at the forefront of day to day life. Between us we have vast experience of caring for a range of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits and chickens amongst many others. Matthew previously owned a dog who required two insulin injections a day so really understands the importance of routine. A friend of mine is a vet in the UK and I often call on her for advice.
We have carried out a range of short term and long term house sits since returning to the UK, so please take the time to view our endorsements.
We love how house sitting provides house owners with peace of mind and in exchange we also get to experience a new part of the world and build great friendships. We remain in contact with many house owners and have been known to return a number of times.
We are both organised, respectful and understand the importance of cleaning routines when looking after animals and we would expect to leave a house as we find it. We are keen to ensure that your pet is happy, healthy and given lots of attention. We are also intuitive when it comes to noticing signs of illness and would update you on this immediately.
Both of us would really love the opportunity to see life from as many perspectives as possible and are hoping to experience life throughout different regions in the UK.
We would really appreciate clear guidelines to follow to ensure that you can enjoy your stay with the assurance that your pets and home are being looked after with care.

Liana and Matthew were exceptional sitters. The house was immaculate on our return, our dog very well cared for, and communication was excellent throughout. We would happily welcome them back again. Highly recommended.
Liana and Matt are the Mary Poppins of sitters: practically perfect in every way! Friendly, efficient and conscientious.
Communication was excellent from first contact onwards, and Liana paid attention to every detail, asking questions whenever necessary to ensure everything was right for Vito. I knew he was having a wonderful Christmas, and to cap it all, I came home to a clean and tidy house.
It was wonderful to have Liana and Matt house sit for us again. They have done do for us multiple times before and they always look after our cat brilliantly and leave the house looking amazing. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a house sitter!!
Liana and Matthew are a lovely couple, they came to Look after Bertie and Bella for 2 days, I would highly recommend them to care for your pets garden and house, I arrived home to a very nice tidy house and two lovely cats one of which sat by the door waiting for Liana and Matthew to come back too, he did snub me for a day, they were very well cared for, I found those two clumps on his leg Liana and I've cut them off so he's all nice and lug free now :-D my plants were also looked after, thank ... How lovely it was to meet Liana and Matthew and have them sit for us. They were so attentive to everything and looked after everything perfectly. Our cats were truly spoilt and the garden was cared for as requested.
We received lots of lovely messages while we were away so we were assured everything was in safe hands.

It was an absolute pleasure to have Liana and Matt in our home. As we were unable to meet beforehand we had a zoom call and we felt confident at them coming into our place even though we hadn't met them.
Communication was great - with lots of photos and messages on how our cats were getting on.
The house was left in a wonderful clean state and even a bonus of a little welcome home gift.
Our cats seemed very content and our home was looked after beautifully.

We were lucky enough for Liana and Matthew to come and look after our cats again over this summer for a week. They are fantastic housesitters and looked after our cats, giving them all the cuddles they need. They looked after the house for us and it was spotless as ever when we got back. These guys are great and I can't recommend them highly enough. I certainly hope they don't get too bored of coming here as I'd have them stay everytime we go away. Liana and Matthew are a lovely friendly couple who did our first house and pet sit . Liana communicated frequently to reassure us and explain that despite their change in circumstances (Matthew had an injury ) they were still fully committed to undertake the sitting.
They were understanding of Leo's shyness and made efforts to build rapport and help him feel relaxed around them. They kept us updated throughout the time we were away.

Liana and Matthew are the perfect house sitters. They looked after our two little cat and home perfectly, sending us beautiful photos of our cats and keeping us updated over our trip. When we returned home the house was lovely and clean and they had left some treats for our cats and a bottle of wine for us!! Well needed after a long trip. Can't recommend them more highly and I certainly hope to have them come and house sit for us again in the future.
Liana and Mathew were fantastic! They were friendly, pet confident and full of common sense! We had great updates on our cat and I knew absolutely that he was being not only pampered but really well cared for. You could not choose a better couple to look after your house and pet. Liana and Matthew were perfect house sitters for my needy little cat Misha! They were kind enough to visit the house before the sit to meet me and Misha and get to know us a little bit. Liana & Matthew looked after Misha impeccably - including the administration of daily medicine to treat an infection that Misha was recovering from. Liana and Matt were the perfect house sitters. They looked after our two terriers perfectly and we returned to 2 chilled out happy dogs and a lovely clean flat. Our dogs are not the easiest as they are high energy and attitude! Can't rate highly enough, they are a lovely couple.
From the beginning of our contact Liana was a delight to deal with - clearly a very experienced house sitter and with a brilliant rapport with the cats. She sent lots of updates and photos during my absence and left the house immaculate!!! I felt Liana was totally trust worthy and reliable and I enjoyed meeting with her. Liana was a really excellent sitter, she was so thoughtful and caring to our ageing cat Ginger. We felt both Ginger and our house were in very safe and capable hands. Linana gave us regular reports which we found very reassuring. Hopefully she would like to sit for us again sometime in the future. She will be most welcome.

Liana is an excellent house sitter. This was our first time using the site so we were a bit nervous but Liana made the whole process very easy. She updated us loads about Maddy and left the house clean and tidy. Also, Maddy (our normally very shy cat) loved Liana! :)

I was so happy that I found Liana and Matthew. Although, I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Matthew due to work commitments, Liana visited me before we went away so my dog Toby could get used to her and so her and Matthew knew the instructions for pet care/plant care etc They sent me messages and pics each of the 4 days I was away and I was so happy to see how much my cat and dog had bonded with them! Liana and Matthew were wonderful house sitters - they looked after the house as if it was their own. They were in regular contact while I was away and kept meet up to date with things at home, so I could enjoy my travels knowing they had everything in order. Liana and Matt were fantastic. They took great care of Jax whilst we were away. He obviously enjoyed their company. The house was clean and tidy on our arrival home. I had regular updates from them about Jax. We would definitely have them back.
Liana and Matthew did a great job as housesitters over the Christmas break. Our chickens got spoilt with all sorts of goodies (which they absolutely loved) and despite having to endure some very hot days over summer, our garden was well watered and in great condition.
They were very easy to communicate with and kept us updated frequently. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, friendly, clean and well organised housesitters!
Liana and Matthew were fabulous Housesitters. They looked after our house and plants and left the place spotless. We appreciated them keeping in touch while we were away. On our return they took us out for dinner which was really appreciated. We would have them back in an instant and hope to stay in touch.

They are a mature couple who spent lots of time playing with my Lina and regularly keeping me updated.
It was my cats 1st bday when I was gone and they went out of their way to buy her treats and toys for her birthday.
