Responsible and sober individual. A non-smoker. British passport holder and full clean British driving license. I don't have a vehicle in UK, but sometimes rent a car.

I retired after a 30 year career in the Foreign & Commonwealth Office; serving in British diplomatic and consular missions in South America, Africa, Western and Eastern Europe and Asia.

I divide my time between UK and The Philippines, With no home in UK I look for house/pet sitting opportunities when in UK. I like to think that your home, and creatures will be in safe hands.

I have been around animals (large and small) all of my life. I was born a farmer's son and am a country boy at heart. I am especially experienced with cats and dogs (a photo of my pack on the beach in The Philippines is included). I have also kept pigs and chickens in the past.

My hobbies include astronomy and listening to Radio 4. I enjoy mowing lawns and whilst I don't profess to have green fingers, I can make plants die very slowly.

I am environmentally sensitive, so will not run up your utility bills unnecessarily.

I'm happy to provide ID details (eg British passport, UK and Philippines driving licenses) upon request. My son works for a UK county Constabulary.

I hope this all adds up to a description of someone that you feel you can trust with your homr and animal friends.

Nic was professional, organised and easy to talk to. He cared for our animals perfectly, including horses, dog and chickens and dealt with a leak from a bathroom tap that was dripping through into our kitchen. Our dog Merlin clearly became very fond of him! We would have him back any time. Nic is highly recommended!

Nic is absolutely outstanding, He looked after our two boisterous, large dogs beautifully, they are still missing him, and took the greatest care of our antique home. We'd love to invite him back, so please come again soon.

Nic was a fantastic petsitter. My 3 dogs were very well looked after and very happy and content with Nic. He was extremely accommodating and satayed on for a further two weeks as I had to quarantine on my return from Spain. Nic comes highly recommended.

Nic was a pleasure to have for a sitter. He was great with the dogs, showing them genuine care and walking them a considerable distance daily. He put my mind at ease with regular communication and photos. The house was left clean and tidy and he even made me lunch after my long journey home ! No rating My dogs took to Nic immediately, and he gained extra brownie points allowing them to sleep on his bed!! He kept in touch with me throughout the sit by text, often with accompanying photos, and even did a couple of odd jobs around the house! No rating My home was well looked after and my dear old cat seemed to be well cared for. Unfortunately for Nic the day before I returned home he suddenly became sick. With my neighbour's help Nic rushed him to the vet, but nothing could be done to save him and he had to be put down. He was seventeen and a half years old so he had a long and happy life with me since a kitten of a few weeks old. No rating This was our first experience of using a house sitter. Nic was a delight to have in our house. He is very organised and tidy, but relaxed and interesting to talk to. We enjoyed hearing about all the countries that he has lived and worked in. Nic is totally trustworthy and was happy to send us a link to a copy of his passport before he arrived and we also spoke on the phone prior to the house sit.
