Hi, we are Chris and Cath. We have been together for 34 years. We have both recently cut our working life back so we can now do what we want, when we want. In those years we have had two rescue cats Foxy and Ester. Foxy was black and white and small; she was also very Jackel and Hyde in regards her temperament. Ester on the other hand was a big tabby and always wanted to be by you. We sadly lost both of them several years ago now and both within 12 months of each other. We have not had any more since as the loss was too great. So, this is why we have decided on sitting with them while their mums and dads are away. We did at one stage have a black stray that kept coming into our garden, so we decided on putting out a bit of food etc. Then after a few weeks the black stray decided to bring his girlfriend round also. So now we had 2 so the only thing left to do was to buy 2 furry igloos for when we went out, otherwise they both lived in our house. Then once their paws were under the table, they decided to have a couple of kittens. Sadly, they don't really have much to do with us any more as our new neighbor feeds them fresh fish every day. To be completely honest when it comes to cats the more the merrier. We have just shown interest in a local animal charity where they have a standalone cattery so fingers crossed that will come off sooner rather than later. We are also lovers of dogs who don't mind a fuss. We both feel that keeping the pets in a surrounding that they are used to is paramount as this puts less stress on the animals as well as their owners. Plus with the prices of both kennels and catteries increasing this is also a viable option. While sitting we tend to WhatsApp the owners daily with pics to reassure the owners that all is ok. Ideal locations are Staffordshire, Cheshire, Manchester and Merseyside etc. as we have family in the area as well as surrounding areas. We have both up to 11/10/23 had 5 jabs to protect us from covid 19, and to date we HAVE NOT had covid. We are also non smokers. We do charge for the pet and house sitting service. This is due to the reviews we have been getting and the repeat sits and referals which we are getting from all our sits, both through the website and private. We do book up quickly so if you like what you see and you know your dates we recommend getting in touch sooner rather than later. Where possible we have been to see the owners/pets before commiting to the sit so that all parties can meet and to meet the pets. If this is not possible due to distance then a WhatsApp video chat is the norm for us.
