Hi, I'm Jenny! I've had many beloved pets including a Labrador, two cats, a rabbit & guinea pig, a budgerigar, mouse & silkworms. I can’t have any at the moment and I miss them so I pet-sit informally for family & friends, enjoying the company of the beautiful animals pictured. I love hanging out & playing, walking & exploring the neighbourhood with dogs, or cat cuddles while watching TV /working on my laptop.

I am Australian (with Scottish ancestry) & familiar with the UK as I lived there a long time ago, & I have also visited family, travelled around from Orkney to Devon, went on an archaeology field school in Dunfermline, and volunteered at the crannog. Most recently, I was in Edinburgh for several months. I will be in the UK for several months at a time over the next few years, and am next available from early December through to early June. I'm working on a social & environmental enterprise startup based in Edinburgh so my ideal house sit would be in or near Edinburgh. I definitely don’t need payment as I am very happy to have accommodation in exchange for my time & experience with looking after pets.

I’m a non-smoker, a mature responsible house owner, and a caring, quiet & friendly person. Animals in my care will be well fed, always have clean water & loads of love & attention! I’m very happy to send photos or videos or have zoom chats so you don’t miss them too much! I will follow all directions carefully & also make sure that your home is clean & tidy for when you get back.

I may also leave you a present of a drawing of your animals - I love to draw & animals are a favourite subject! 😻

I won’t have a car when in UK so probably best if house-sits are near to public transport. I am, however, okay to walk a reasonable distance as I love walking.
