Hi, I'm Kate, originally Australian but have lived in the UK for many years and absolutely love it here. I'm a self-employed book-keeper with long-term clients and have been registered with a certifying body (ICB) for over 7 yrs. This lets me work from home with flexible hours which is perfect for pet-sitting. I'm a conscientious and caring person and will bring the same sense of responsibility I apply in my work to caring for your home and pets.

For me house-sitting is the perfect way to get out of town and into the beautiful UK countryside. So I will really only stay in rural areas with plenty of good walks and peace and quiet.

If I had to pick, I'd say I'm a dog person but only just! I love spending time with cats and all animals just as much. They just make life so much richer :)

I grew up on our family farm out in Aus where we had horses, cattle, dogs, cats and chickens, as well as the odd rescue bird. Aside from house-sitting experience, I've also worked in a boarding kennels looking after all kinds of dogs from Great Danes to Chihuahuas.

I'm a quiet person, I enjoy walking, photography, reading good books and of course spending as much time as possible with animals. I like to keep things clean and tidy and am happy to keep an eye on the garden and do any watering, etc.

I'll sometimes be travelling by campervan, but I do also have a little car, it depends on timing and location and can be discussed.
