We are an active outgoing early retired couple with lengthy experience of managing a house and gardens. We have had pets all our lives. We have house sitting experience and experience of looking after dogs, cats, hens and other fowl, house rabbits and reptiles.
We've had several house sitting jobs since joining the scheme in 2020 and have enjoyed every one of the experiences and have received really good reviews. We have had several requests to sit again which we have been very happy to do.
Available at short notice for house sits close to home we are also happy to travel some distance for medium and longer length sittings. Please check our availability calendar to check if we are free for your planned dates.
Malcolm and Derryn were great. Our two dogs were well looked after and so was our house. Looking forward to seeing you both again in May, we highly recommend these lovely sitters.
Derryn & Malcom have been great house sitters. Their communication (pupdates) has been on point. When we came back, the house was tidy and Skye was a happy dog. We would recommend them to anyone looking for house sitters!
Malcolm and Derryn stayed to look after our two labradors. We had great communication prior and throughout the stay and returned to clearly happy dogs.
Derryn and Malcolm proved to be ideal house sitters. The chickens and William the cat were obviously well cared for and the cottage was very clean and tidy on our return. We kept in touch whilst away, with photos of William looking very comfortable on 'Uncle' Malcolm's lap. Of course we appreciate their own kind words, and we have told them already that they are welcome at any time in the future.
Malcolm and Derryn have done an excellent job in caring for our home, garden and hens. After three weeks away it was a joy to return home and find everything as we would have wished. Throughout they have been conscientious and reliable - also keeping us informed when they thought it necessary.
We are delighted that they are now returning for another two weeks in October .

What a lovely couple - they arrived early as knew I had to get off. They communicated while I was away sending some photos of the boys enjoying their treats and let me know when they were leaving.
The house was wonderfully clean and tidy upon my return, with the two cats beautifully groomed (I had said they love to be brushed so good for bonding).

Great sitters, highly recommended. They had their hands full with our menagerie but took it all in their stride. We went away feeling fully confident about our babies in their care
We were a little apprehensive as this was our first time using a house sitter, but we need not have been. Malcolm and Derryn immediately put our minds at rest, they arrived early to make sure they got to know our animals and the lie of the land, asked all the right questions and were not fazed by anything.
During the stay they kept us updated on the animals and dealt with unexpected callers at the door.
We would not hesitate to invite them back and hope to do so next year.
We couldn't have asked for better house sitters; our kittens were well looked after, our plants looked more healither and our flat was tidier on our return. Thank you both for taking care of our place whilst we were away.
A big thank you to Malcolm and Derryn for looking after our boys and chickens. Brilliant care, communication and understanding at what was a bit of a busy morning trying to pack everything and get away. Kept in touch over the week if we remembered things and everything was great on our return. Would have to stay again for sure.
Make sure the garden and pot plants are thriving when you get back - get a house sitter.
