Karen & David

We are two PhD engineers from the US, married for 32 years. David managed his own company for nearly 20 years and Karen did part time bookkeeping and homeschooled our three sons who have all finished college.

The pandemic made us rethink our priorities, so in late 2022, we closed the company, sold our properties and put our things into storage so that we could travel for 1-2 years before settling down in the US again. So far we have visited 15 countries in Europe and North Africa.

We prefer to care for a small-to-medium sized dog or other small pets (but not cats due to allergies). David had a dog when he was a boy. We are in excellent health so that taking your dog on a walk or run is no problem. While our kids were young, our pets included guppies, hamsters, a guinea pig, a rabbit, chickens and birds. Having a dog wasn't realistic because of our living situation and travels, so we got to enjoy David's sister's Pomeranian and teacup Yorkie whenever we stayed with her for about a month each year. It will be fun for us to care for pets again, and to experience new places more like a local.

David is retired and loves exploring museums. Karen keeps an organized home and enjoys yard work. She still works remotely 1-2 days a week. We are non smokers..
