Susan (Susie) & David

We are a well travelled professional couple who have recently retired and whose children have now flown the nest. We are very active and enjoy travel, walking and being outside with nature. We have owned and looked after cats, dogs (including large breeds, a Leonberger and 2 German Shepherds), guinea pigs, rabbits, ducks and chickens. Sadly, all that now remains of our menagerie is an European Eagle Owl named Mr O, who our son cares for whilst we are on our travels.

David, prior to working for Essex Fire & Rescue Service worked in civil engineering and alongside his wholetime firefighter role worked in the building trade mainly on house extensions. Needless to say DIY does not faze him!

I have always been a secretary/PA, firstly in London working as a Bilingual Secretary in a Spanish bank (I speak Spanish, no longer fluent, but definitely more than enough to get by when we travel to a Spanish speaking country) and latterly, after some retraining, I have been working as a PA to a local solicitor specialising in Matrimonial/Family law.

We are non-smokers and both like a clean and tidy home. Whilst we are new to housesitting on this site, we have looked after family/friends pets and homes in the past so could supply references on request. Thank you for reading our profile.
