Having grown up with pets, caring for yours takes the shape of treating them like my own, understanding the importance of consistency and familiarity, keeping you updated, and leaving having fallen in love with them. I'd say I prioritise pet companionship, connection and comfort.
And homes, they get love too! Always leaving a place with 'welcoming you home' in mind, I'm respectful, considerate, love tending to gardens, and enjoy a good clean. Happy to help with any little jobs you might need doing around the place too. Love a cupboard sort-out!
I love getting outside and slowly exploring new surroundings, as well as cherishing chill time at home with furry companions, keeping each other company. I'm so appreciative of the opportunities sitting provides - staying a while getting to know a new area with the absolute treat of caring for and adoring your pets.
I have been living in New Zealand (see reviews from Kiwi House Sitters partner site) and am now back in the UK, living in Cornwall, hoping to get to know new places in the magical way house / pet sitting allows! I have been struggling with some health issues which have changed the pace I can live at and makes finding consistent work pretty difficult, so I am grateful to be offered contributions for sits!

Mel was a very trustworthy and caring home and pet sitter who created a beautiful bond with Bella (a basset hound). She proved to be flexible and adaptable to our frequently changeable plans. Mel responded promptly in communications and sent us regular photos and videos which was a delight to see. We are very grateful and appreciated Mel's service.
We were so lucky to find Melanie as a house sitter on here. Couldn’t have been happier with the wonderful job she did of looking after our 2 cats and our home. She provided brilliant communication, giving us daily pictures of our cats and letting us know they were well. Emi was a new addition to the family, we only got her a week before a pre-planned holiday. My Mum had previously been dead-set against having anyone houseit. But the thought of sending a new kitten and our other cat Miko, to a cattery was out of the equation. After meeting Melanie before we went away, she came around immediately and sensed her calm and lovely manner would be perfect for the cats. Melanie was brilliant . Her and Issac looked after our two cats and elderly rabbit. Although we took our dog away with us it was clear Melanie would have been great with her too ( she had a canine shadow when being shown the ropes for the other furry family!). All instructions were followed and communication was excellent . They were very accommodating with some unexpected changes in plans. We returned to a happy house, cats and rabbits .
