Hi, we are Deborah and Steve, a fit and active retired couple available for house and pet sitting in the UK. We are now at a time in our lives where we are travelling light and having time to pursue our hobbies and interests as well as exploring new places. We now have just two tortoises in tow...

Both non-smokers and flexible for pet and house sitting.

Deborah has been pet sitting since 2010 until about three years ago. She was also a dog warden when living in Lincolnshire. Deborah has also owned a horse, ponies and a goat in the past, as well as chickens, ducks, guinea pigs and rabbits plus the usual cats and dogs. Pretty much hands-on with most pets. More recently, she volunteered at an animal rescue sanctuary in Tenerife.

Steve has also had both cats and dogs in the past and was also a volunteer at RHS Hyde Hall, as well as attending the RHS courses at Writtle College and so is able to offer basic gardening assistance while you are away.

We would love to look after your pets, garden and home so that you can go away with complete peace of mind. Please feel free to get in touch and we would be happy to meet face to face or via Zoom or Whatsapp.

Stephen and Deborah sat for us for 7 weeks and were brilliant! Sadly one of our dogs cut his pad quite badly 8 days before we left, which meant that he needed constant attention regarding bathing his paw, only going in the garden with a boot, having the foot covered whilst indoors and general control of exercise, but Steve and Deborah were excellent and took great care of him and the other animals. Our dogs really enjoyed the care and company from Stephen and Deborah. Our house was kept clean and tidy, the pond fish and garden birds were also regularly fed. Stephen and Deborah kept to the dogs routine which included administering their daily medication. It was also great to receive regular updates and photos of our dogs which gave us peace of mind while we were away. I would thoroughly recommend this couple as caring and competent house and pet sitters.

Our Jack Russell does not enjoy time in dog kennels, which was the driving reason in looking for alternatives. We found this site and Stephen and Deborah's profile stood out.
