Hi

We are Beverley and David retired from my photography business after 32 years. We love to house sit; it's so much better if your lovely cat doesn't have to go into a cattery. Staying in their home environment, both you and they are stress free after your holiday or business trip.

We love our own home and have seen a lot of the world; so now we feel it's time to travel the UK which is why we choose to house sit, it's a win win for all of us!

My husband David was a fireman for a number of years and then a photographer alongside me. He is very practical and will make sure everything is looked after and your home kept safe.

We have full police check available to view together with passports / driving licences to put your mind at rest.

We have three daughters, and ten grandchildren ! However to mitigate our carbon footprint we are vegetarians.

We have lived in many houses carrying out renovations, extensions and even building a 5 bed detached ourselves which was quite an experience. So we are very practical and feel we can act quickly if something needs to to done while you are away.

Pets have been a big part of our life too and over the years we have had family pets including Luther our Great Dane and Naz our Boxer. Our cat Benny who came from a local cat charity and Billy who we met at a local dogs home ! We also had a Bengal cat called Ziggy ( we are Bowie fans !) and a British short hair called Captain Pugwash. We do not have any pets of our own now as we love to travel and after our boxer died felt upset to take on another pet.

We live a quiet life in Staffordshire but love to explore the UK, meet people, read lots of books, take part in trivia quizzes, love art, gardens, history, countryside, cities and writing. I am currently trying to write a novel but it is proving harder than I thought

We are happy to take messages and keep in touch with you if you wish and will make sure your home is kept clean and tidy while you are away.

We are both non smokers and we are both vegetarian, We are mature, reliable, dependable, trustworthy, safety conscious and would love to look after your home.

Beverley and David were outstanding housesitters. They even made the extra effort to come a night early to meet us so we could give them a thorough briefing about our house and our cats. We chatted over the phone beforehand to arrange everything to ensure that we would both be happy with our arrangements. They made a special effort to leave very early so that they could meet us at our house before we had to leave, but were sabotaged by the traffic on the M6. They took the trouble to arrive before I left so that we could meet and I could show them around, they took wonderful care of the house and my rather aloof cat, and even left a welcome home present. They also coped beautifully with a last minute key hitch, they are clearly very capable people, and I won't hesitate to ask them to sit again!

Beverley and David came to look after our house and four cats for 8 nights in September. They are the loveliest couple and are so friendly and easy to get on with. They came to stay the night before we left to give us a chance to meet them and introduce them to the cats. We spent the whole evening chatting and again the next morning. Beverley and David were wonderful house sitters. They took great care of our slightly high maintenance burmese cat, goldfish and our home. They were easy to communicate with both before and during the sit and accommodated our very early departure by arriving first thing in the morning for a handover. I would certainly recommend them both as pet and house sitters and would have them again.

Whilst this couple did not actually sit, this is somewhat of a speculative review. Our holiday was cancelled because of you-know-what, but they kept the date options open to help us out as we kept changing our minds. From what they said and from other reviews, we felt confident that they would be 5 star sitters. Let's hope 2022 will allow us to invite them again.

Beverly and David were our first experience of house sitters. They are great couple and took very good care of our elderly cat Lily, our house and garden, including feeding our visiting hedgehogs and local peacocks! Despite this House snd pet sit being a bit precarious (due to current Covid restrictions and change in arrangements) Beverley and Dave were very patient snd understanding. Communication was amicable throughout. I look forward to having them for a house and pet sit sometime soon when circumstances are better.
