After 30 years spent bringing up three amazing children and loving many animals in our home during this time, we packed up our house and began house sitting and travelling. We have since been lucky enough to meet many interesting people and care for their much loved pets.
I worked as an Early Years teacher and enjoy walking, crafts, cooking, pottering in the garden and looking after animals. Andy, as a retired technician, who enjoys writing poetry, is skilled at maintenance around the house. He volunteered his time as a skipper for a River Thames based charity called the Rivertime Boat Trust, which helps both disadvantaged and disabled children and adults spend time on the River Thames.
As non-smoking home owners ourselves we recognise how important it is to give support to your animals whilst you are away and be able to feel that they will be looked after and loved, as well as care for your property.
We have been on the move since November 2016 and have received good references (further ones can be supplied). We are very happy to be contacted about house sits and look forward to being able to meet you and your pets in the future.
This is the second time we have invited Jo and Andy to house sit for us. It's fantastic to be able to go away and know our elderly cat is getting lots of affection and company, he also has medication once a day, and Jo and Andy have been great with him. Our house is always spotlessly clean when we get home. Would highly recommend
So this was the first time we had used the housesitters service and chose Jo and Andy because of all the other great reviews they had. They didn't disappoint and gave us great confidence to leave our dogs and property in good hands. Jo and Andy were amazing. This was our first time using house sitters and if this is how it is then we are converted! They sent frequent updates and really looked after our dog, two cats and micro pig. The house was beautifully clean when we returned and we can't recommend them enough. Just perfect! We shall be asking them to house sit again!
Jo & Andy were wonderful housesitters. They diligently cared for our four hens, two cats, house & garden during a heatwave no less. They were very good communicators, keeping us informed of the animal activity & well-being & sent photos.
I was not as organised as I'd hoped to be upon departure for our holiday & they were very relaxed & understanding when we had to pop back for forgotten items.

Jo and Andy are real animal lovers who took great care of our cats Django and Socksie at our flat in Hove while we were away from 9th-16th May 2021 texting regular updates on their welfare, and they left flat nice and tidy too with sheets and towels washed! Jo and Andy were absolutely lovely housesitters - they sent us regular pictures of Rosie our cat and were really communicative. They were super clean and tidy too. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or have them back to housesit.
We never had house/pet sitters before, so were very new to the prospect of having people we didn't know stay in our home and look after our pets.

This was our first time of using house sitters and we were initially wary of leaving our house with strangers for 4 weeks. On meeting Jo and her husband our doubts were immediately dispelled as they explained what they do and understood exactly what we expected from them. Jo and Andy were brilliant cat sitters. They sent us regular photos and Tabatha updates and we knew that she was in good hands.
We came back to a lovely clean home and clean sheets on the bed (so, so appreciated after arriving from holiday at 6am after night travel!)

Jo and Andy were lovely housesitters - they took the trouble to come and meet Mel beforehand and she warmed to them very quickly. We were kept up to date regularly with lovely pictures of Mel enjoying life without us, and the house was immaculate when we got back. I warmed to Jo and Andy from the start because they clearly love animals and are committed to taking good care of them and the house. During my three week absence they kept in regular contact with messages and photos, which was reassuring. On my return I found everything in good order, the cats relaxed and a meal prepared for me. I would not hesitate to ask Jo and Andy to house sit for me again.
From the very outset we knew that we had made the best decision in inviting Jo and Andy to look after our cat and home. They were very friendly, confident and conscientious. Jo and Andy were wonderful sitters. They took the time to come and meet JJ and Ruby and us before the sit which was very reassuring. They took the dogs on some lovely adventures and sent us fantastically funny updates which included photos.
