We believe in “one life, live it” and we quit our full time jobs in 2022 to go travelling across North America in our overland vehicle leaving behind our three adult children in the UK.
The last year has been truly wonderful, but two of our children graduated university last year and so we have returned home for a few months. Unfortunately, a visit to the GP didn’t go well for Dan and so we’re having to stay in the UK for a bit longer than we had anticipated.
Before heading off in our overland vehicle, we put our furniture into storage and rented out our house, so while we are back in the UK, we have been staying with family, friends and have done a number of house sits up and down the country - which we have absolutely loved.

We have both had cats since childhood and Geraldine grew up with dogs. Dan is an Engineer so usually fixes any of those household problems like blocked drains or dripping taps that arise from time to time.
We are non-smokers and try to have the lightest of footprints in your home while we are there.

Dan & Geraldine are utterly perfect! They had 7 cats to look after and did so to a very high standard - the house was clean and tidy, bedding had been washed, the lawn mowed....and we had very happy cats on our return. They kept us updated on them (as we miss them so), so felt completely relaxed while we were away. We cannot thank them enough for what they have done, and we will be keeping in touch with them for sure. Absolute gems of people. xxx

Geraldine and Dan could not have been better Sitters. The communication was excellent with videos on a daily basis. I knew the dogs were being well looked after, and cared for as well with plenty of walks and playtimes. The house was spotless on my return. Gold star Sitters! 🥰

Dan and Geraldine, well what can we say. To be honest words fail to adequately express the trust and friendship we formed with this kind caring couple. We were lucky enough to have Dan and Geraldine visit one afternoon, prior to the sit. An instant bond was formed and we knew we’d found a special couple. I was so blessed to meet Dan and Geraldine who were an absolutely amazing couple from the first contact. We communicated well to sort out mutual arrangements and they kept me posted regularly with updates throughout their stay. Leo felt safe and secure with them, and it was lovely to see him feel settled and comfortable with them, as he is a shy cat! They kept the house tidy and Dan even volunteered to do some odd jobs. This was only the second time we have had cat sitters in our home and any Dan and Geraldine were really wonderful with our three cats, and attentive to their needs. They asked really good questions early on and seemed to understand the different cats and their quirks. Even though new to the game, Dan and Geraldine are the most perfect housesitters! So enthusiastic & ready to make the most of their stay.
