I am a very active retiree from the lovely city of Ely in Cambridgeshire . Some of my reviews (all excellent), are from New Zealand because I recently spent 6 months traveling and house-sitting. I discovered house-sitting is a great way of getting to know an area while enjoying other people's pets. Win win! I'm hoping to discover more of the UK now my time is my own.
When my family was young we had dogs, cats, rabbits, fish & a dozen chickens.
Before I retired I managed social housing for all age groups - so you can be confident if anything unexpected happens I will be be able to deal with it. Please message me if I can be of help, and know that your pets will be safe and happy in my care, and your home will be kept clean and tidy.

Karen was our first housesitter and we couldn’t have wished for anyone better. Patience is required for an aged dog and Karen had this in abundance. It’s slightly daunting leaving your precious pet in the care of someone you have only just met but Karen was a reassuring presence. I hope we’ve learned a bit too about preparing the house for a sitter and we will endeavour to leave more comprehensive notes next time, including how to switch the heating on! All in all a very good ‘first’ for us.

Couldn't recommend Karen highly enough. She took excellent care of our cat and flat. She communicated regularly throughout the sit and left the flat in great condition. We would love to have her sit for us again.

Karen looked after our rescue dog and cat while we were away for the weekend. Her communication was excellent and we came home to two very relaxed boys, after getting detailed updates while we were away. I'd highly recommend her as a sitter.

Karen was extremely competent and we felt very relaxed leaving our cat, garden birds and three fostered hedgehogs in her care. She dealt calmly with a problem which arose with our very old house. The house was clean and tidy after her sit. Karen was also a good communicator. The cat and hogs give her 10 out of 10. The bids look pretty happy too!

Karen came to do our first ever house sit. I highly recommend Karen as she made me feel very comfortable.Our dog Sparky and the house was looked after very well. Great communication throughout. Hopefully we'll get Karen to come back in the future.😊

Karen stayed over this past weekend at our home and looked after our dog Riley whilst we were away at a festival with our 2 year old. We couldn't be happier with her house care, cleanliness, friendly nature, communication and the attention and love she gave Riley. She took Riley to the beach and walked with her for most of the day, and the next day took her to a local market where she met some other lovely dogs and local tradespeople. Karen was a model house sitter as she looked after our sick cocker spaniel very well and left the house immaculate. She also communicated well with us and made us feel comfortable leaving our dog when we travelled overseas. We wouldn't hesitate to engage her when we next travel if she's free. She's a 5-star house sitter and I would recommend her to anyone who needs an excellent house/pet sitter.

Karen house-sat for us for 10 days in April 2023 to look after and care for our two cats Leo & Lola. Within this time, she corresponded and communicated regularly and clearly built a good rapport with the cats.
