66, retired, volunteering as a social worker

We are an older Belgian couple (56 and 66), living in the very beautiful historic Flemish city of Ghent. I have three grown children who are no longer living at home.

In most cases, Paul comes alone to sit. In some cases, and when agreed upon it, my wife may accompany me.

We are real England-lovers and like to spend as much holidays in London and in the English countryside as we can, especially in areas yet unknown to us.
We love to walk, cycle, swim in open water, and discover new towns, villages and landscapes.

We have a rabbit and three cats (who are taken care of by family members when we're away) and know how to treat them well and to make them feel comfortable. In the past we had dogs and different farm animals, a.o. chickens, rabbits, goose etc.

We come by car and often bring our bike with us.

No rating Thank you so much for such an easy to use and very helpful website! I had some anxiety about asking strangers into my home but I am delighted to say that my family who came many miles to house sit for me were absolutely brilliant! My disabled cat was very well looked after and loved, and my garden and house left exactly the way I left it! This is the second time Paul looked after our cats and home. As usual we got updates of our furrballs and via pictures and videos. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Paul to take care of things for you while you are away.

Paul was very easy to talk to, and listened to what was required. He looked after the bunnies very well and the house. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs help.

Paul was very responsive to our messages from the start. He has a good deal of experience house sitting in a lot of properties and taking care of pets. He has a relaxed demeanour and our cats warmed up to him quickly. He took his time to get to know them and let them trust him, rather than being pushy. Paul was super speedy at getting back to us at all times. When he arrived I felt at ease leaving the flat and bunnies with him straight away he was friendly and very attentive when I gave him all the instructions. I would definitely recommend Paul for your furry friends or house or both he's a nice guy.

Arriving the evening before we left, we really enjoyed meeting them and found it useful to be able to show them around the house and garden and to get to know each other a little over a meal.
