Hello
We are a young at heart and fit retired couple. We have been married 45 years and have 2 married children both living abroad., our daughter in Thailand and son in Australia. We have been living in Australia for most of the past 5 years awaiting the processing of a parent visa so that we can stay and be close to our family. We now have to return to the UK to comply with visa regulations for approximately 6 months and thought that as we had house sit in the past,,,(see references), we could ,use this opportunity and explore a bit more of our home country and house sit again .
We have always had pets while the children were growing up, 4 cats,,2 living until nearly 20,,my babies,,a naughty colly cross spaniel, what lovely walks we had,, the inevitable gerbils,,Tison, my son's pet rat and a pond with Koi carp.. and 2 talkative budgerigars
We are open to traveling any where in the UK depending on length of stay. We are confident with dogs and cats and the normal type of family pet. Farm animals would be new to us but depending on care needed may be a challenge we could look forward to.
I am house-proud and would treat your home with respect. My husband is a bit of a d.i.y. expert (handy man) should any maintenance be required in your absence
We have completed many house sits, in Australia and the UK,,however have had a break from this while helping my son and family here in Australia for the last 5 years..
I
See below a reference from the house sit we did in Australia and the UK..
Also character reference from my colleague at Tesco Stores Newton Abbot Devon, where I worked for 23 years..
Roger and Phyllis house and pet sat for us for a week in January 2017. It was the first time we'd done it and we weren't sure what to expect from the whole experience. But if everyone is like them, then I'll happily go away anytime without a worry in the world about the welfare of our pets!
Our dog was walked more than he is when we're there, and the cats got more cuddles and affection than they get day to day. They were all happy and healthy when we returned, and I was quite shocked to see the house sparkling clean when we got back! My husband actually joked that he wanted them to move in, he was so impressed.
Phyllis is a self proclaimed 'domestic goddess', and I have to say she lived up to that name - the house was spotless and smelled incredible when we got back.
We also got regular updates by text on what they all got up to each day which was nice to hear. They also kept our garden & veggie patch looking great with plenty of watering and attention, everything was nice and green when they left!
We can't recommend Phyllis and Roger highly enough as house / pet sitters, and if we go away in the future we wouldn't hesitate to have them back.
Roberta & Darren.

To whom it may concern.
I have known Phyllis Austin in excess of 23 years both as a work colleague and as a friend.
She was employed by Tesco Stores Limited in various managerial roles including Customer Service Manager responsible for the well being and training of over 120 staff, before ending up as a Compliance Manager in Newton Abbot store,
This role involved ensuring that the store remained safe and legal at all times. This meant liaising with the rest of the management team from Store Manager down to make sure that they completed all of their legal training such as Health and Safety, Fire and Pest Control.
During my time working with Phyllis she was always diligent and thorough and had a way of ensuring that everything was completed to tight timescales through her manner, encouraging others to do their best, and coaching/training whenever necessary. Part of her duties included being in charge of the store as a duty manager, and this task she completed with ease.
I would have no hesitation in recommending her for any role that she applied for as I know that her integrity and honesty are second to none.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
