We need a house sitter

East of England - Cambridgeshire

Nynke

My Dad and I are looking for someone to look after our rescue dog Will whilst we're away on holiday in Scotland.

Will is a shepherd/collie cross and is very gentle and affectionate. He's 10 years old and feeling his age so is quite slow on walks and naps a lot during the day. He needs daily medication for his arthritis.

He needs 2 park walks a day (30 mins each) and an evening 'round the block' walk and can be let off the lead.

You will need to be experienced with dogs as despite being docile 99% of the time he needs someone with good dog behaviour awareness and intuition, to know when to leave him alone eg. when he's sleeping or tired.

The house has 4 bedrooms with a living room looking out over a beautiful garden and summer house. It is situated on a quiet cul de sac, within walking distance to nearby parks, woodland and open countryside and only about 1 mile from Cambridge city centre.

Will can be left alone for up to 6 hours so you can spend time enjoying Cambridge during your visit.

My recent Housesit in Cambridge was for a lovely lady (Nynke) and her Father (Mark). I stayed for 2 weeks looking after a beautiful Collie called Will. It was a very straight forward housesit as Nynke was so informative and kind. The house was beautiful, comfortable and welcoming. I had a wonderful time walking Will and he is so adorable. Cambridge is a lovely, friendly area and I met some lovely people. I would be more than happy to sit for them again. Thank you Nynke, Mark and Will!!

I’ve just sat for Will for the 2nd time, and he is an absolutely darling. Really such a low maintenance dog, super smart and very easy to manage once you learn his ways. Really good on the lead.
