We live in a semi rural area of Lincolnshire in a cosy, semi-detached bungalow in a small beautiful village surrounded by countryside. We are looking for a house sitter who can look after two dogs and a cat.
Our biggest and youngest dog, Laika, is a cross Border Collie/Australian Shepherd who loves attention and playing. Buzz, our smallest dog is a Jack Russell/Patterdale cross and is a bit older but loves snuggling on the sofa and walks in the countryside. We are lucky to live in a beautiful area with lots of dog walks through open countryside, wellies essential in wet weather! Luna, our cat, is friendly and very playful, in the winter she might sit on your lap. A car is not essential as there is a bus service but having a car would help.
Grantham, the nearest town is 20 minutes by car, Lincoln is 35 minutes, both reachable by bus. There are two pubs and a small shop a 5 minute walk from our house. One of the pubs is also an Indian restaurant/takeaway and the food is very good. There are also some really good pubs in the neighbouring villages. On Thursday evenings there's a fish and chip van in the village. There's a big dog-friendly beach about an hours drive away.
We have a lovely private garden with fresh vegetables and salad growing (which you're welcome to eat). We are looking for people who can handle two energetic dogs and feed and take them on daily walks and who would love a quiet place to stay. Being green fingered would be an advantage if the stay is longer than a week.
We're ideally looking for a couple who live locally as it's our first time using a pet/housesitter and want to meet up before going ahead. But would also consider other areas.
