Lochwinnoch Scotland

Hi, we are looking for someone or a couple to look after our dog, house, houseplants, polytunnel and veg garden while we are away on holiday.

We have a 17th century converted barn with a couple of acres of land nestled in the hills surrounding Lochwinnoch in Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park. A rural location, ideally you will need a car, but not essential. The train station is 3 miles from our house which connects to Glasgow (25mins) and Glasgow Airport is about 20 minutes drive away.

Our dog is a 9 year old Red Fox Lab, He likes good walks, happy on the lead, and great with both dogs and kids. He is learning to love cuddles, brushing and a good fun towel down after a wet walk.

The polytunnel duties are not vast as an irrigation system has been installed, it requires checking the system is working and pollination for plants. The small veg garden will require watering on dry days, You would be free to help yourself to any produce that is ready.

We wouldn't expect you to do any other gardening or cutting of lawns.

The house has a well-appointed open plan kitchen / lounge, 2.5 bedrooms, conservatory, home office, big garden and wild field, BBQ and outdoor fire pit. It benefits from stunning views of the valley and over the village of Lochwinnoch. Remote working is possible and the house has a direct fibre internet connection installed.

The surrounding area abounds with wildlife and provides great walking, cycling and activities. Lochwinnoch has a selection of shops and several good pubs, there are also farm shops and supermarkets within 10 – 15 minutes drive.
