We need a house sitter

South Western Scotland - North Ayrshire

Natasha

Hey there,

I hope you're well... 😊

My name is Natasha. I have a lovely flat on the west coast of Scotland with a beautiful cat and I would love it if I could get a house sitter to look after the flat and cat and keep my plants watered when I'm away on a short break...

Abbie Kat is a beautiful and very entertaining ragdoll cat. She was a rescue cat, previously an 'indoor cat' at her last home, but now she comes and goes as she pleases with her cat flap. She loves playing outside and playing with her toys. She is very affectionate and loves cuddles when she gets to know you.

The flat is lovely, bright, airy and colourful with a bit of an eclectic, Boho vibe and lots of plants. The garden has a small bit of decking, a small lawn and lots of plants, which will also need watered if the weather is dry. There is a thoroughfare through the garden for neighbours to access their flats but this is relatively minimal.

Housesitters will have a double bedroom to stay in with a comfy king size bed.

The area is very pretty with lovely woodland walks nearby and a beautiful beach about 10 minutes walk away. Gorgeous views are only 1 minutes' walk away from the gate at the top of the garden and the shops are just a few minutes' walk away as well. West Kilbride is Scotland's first 'craft town' and has lots of arty studios and shops and nice cafes. The Orangery at the Seamill Hydro is also a short walk to have a tasty meal with a lovely view of Arran, the Cumbrae, Bute, Ailsa Craig and on a clear day you can even see the paps of Jura and up to the Arrochar Alps. It is a really lovely spot.

There are easily-accessible transport links via bus and train. Unfortunately however, anyone with mobility issues may find the stairs up to my flat an issue as well as the fact that West Kilbride is quite a hilly village.

My mum and stepdad live nearby so they can help out if you have any issues at all. The neighbours are very lovely as well.

I have quite a few short and long term trips planned for this year so ideally would love to find someone friendly / reliable / loving towards Abbie (and my house/plants!) who would be happy & available to return when possible.

I am sure that you would have a very peaceful stay and a
lovely time with wee Abbie Kat.

This was a wonderful sit, Abbie was a dream cat and Natasha was so kind. I could see her heart reflected through the beautiful colors, light and artwork throughout her home, and I felt relaxed and at peace. The garden is a wonderful sunny spot to enjoy tea and a book, and the sea is within walking distance, with amazing views of Arran. I also enjoyed exploring the town's history, including a connection to the ancient saint/goddess Brigid and a visit to the Neolithic cup and ring stone. Heart ... MORE
