Eastern Scotland - Perth and Kinross
Karen
Our flat is the ground floor of an Edwardian/Victorian conversion. It has a lawn in the backyard for our use. We are a 3 minute walk from Perth railway station, 5 minutes from downtown Perth, and the beautiful South Inch Park is at the end of our block. A car is not necessary at all. However, depending on insurance requirements we may be able to make our car available as it has paid parking and dog crates in situ.
We are within 30 minutes' drive of Gleneagles Golf Resort, Kinklaven Bluebell Woods, Pitlochry, The Hermitage, Beatrix Potter Experience, and excellent beaches and is 40 minutes' drive of St. Andrews and Stirling. Perth has recently once again become home of The Stone of Destiny, and boasts beautiful gardens, walks along the River Tay, all your favourite big box shops, as well as lots of cafes, pubs and coffee shops.
The accommodation is in need of updating, so it is not chic by any means and we understand that much more attractive properties may be on offer. However, the property is safe, clean and has new carpets throughout, coupled with hardwood floors. We have lovely neighbours on all sides, although we rarely see them. We have all the mod cons you could need (TVs, dishwasher, washer, tumble dryer, coffee machine, etc. etc.), a choice of two bedrooms (queen and superking), quiet locale, quirky layout and affectionate, very entertaining and sweet doggies.
One sleeps on the bed, one in her bed, and the other wherever she can be the security guard. We do not crate our dogs in the normal course, BUT the bed sleeper is quite happy to be popped in one overnight if that is preferred. Sitter's choice! Our dogs are not chewers or destructive and are very well house trained.
Our three have been brought from Canada with us and travelled Scotland for 6 months in a station wagon. They are very precious to us, but we are not 'precious' about them. They are equally happy going for clean, leash walks as they are off leash on trails. They are:
Corgi: 11
Cattle Dog/Chihuahua: 9
Corgi: 6
Our pets are fully insured, vaccinated, treated year-round for fleas, ticks, deworming, etc. Our vet is an 8 minute walk away.
This is our first time having someone look after our pets, other than family. Given that we are somewhat newer immigrants, we do not have a network of people to care for our pets, so are hoping to establish a good sitting relationship to use in years to come.
No garden care required.
We would be happy to chat to provide more information.
