Looking for someone to look after my two lovely cats and little dog whilst I go on holiday. I have a lovely house to stay in the gorgeous lakes, with guest bedroom and your own bathroom.
Nico is easy to look after having either 1 big walk a day or two 30-40min walks per day. He loves cuddles and just general attention from anyone. He's a rescue from Cyprus and has a dog walker 3x per week who will come pick him up so you can leave for the whole day and he will be sorted.
The kitties are very easy going, love cuddles and running around chasing each other. Both are rescues. The big white one is Max, who is a big softy and will let anyone pet him. Bella, a former street cat and more of a pack cat, loves company following her brother or you around, watching everything you do. Though she may hide from you for a little bit till she is used to you, once she likes you she's definitely a lap cat.
Both are a 100% house cats and not to be allowed outside at any time (even though they attempt it lol). They have access to the garden through the back kitty door during the day which auto locks at night.
My home is a 3 bed house, 3 bathroom detached house with open plan living and dining room in the lovely Kendal. The guest room has a double bed, wardrobe and shelves. Home has wifi, and kindle fire stick with the usual apps you can sign in on with your account.
The house is in Oxenholme borough of Kendal surrounded by fields and 5mins walking distance to Oxenholme train station which is 5 mins journey into Kendal or @10mins to Windermere. There are also 2 pubs each about 10-15min walk away. Although a car is suggested, you can get about using the train, bus and affordable taxis, depending on what you'd like to do.
There is a large Asda shopping centre 10 mins walk away with petrol station and there are two cafes. There is also a farm shop at Oxenholme station.
Preference is for a single person housesitter, who has lots of experience with dogs. The guest room is a little small and Nico needs to sleep in the same room on his little bed, so can end up being a squeeze for couples, but it is up to your preference.
You'll need to be able to communicate on whatsaap to send photos and updates and such please :)
House visitors are totally welcome during your stay, as long as it's kept to a minimum and please let me know in advance. Especially if it will be a regular thing as the cctv will notify (this is automatic from 6pm to 7am). Unfortunately, no loud parties or kids please, as this will disturb the pets which they are not used to.
