We have shared our lives with various animal companions and enjoyed the varied and wonderful journey with our animal friends/family.
In 2019 we lost our 16 year old doggie companion Scamp and our 12 year old feline friend Oliver.
Our personal circumstances do not allow us to have pets of our own now but we feel that something wonderful is missing.
Therefore, being able to offer our experience and love will allow you, as pet owners, to holiday whilst feeling confident and assured that your family member(s) will be cared for and loved as if you are there.
We are extremely reliable, honest and trustworthy and a little insight into us as people, would be, that we have a Facebook page called Light Bottles for Charity and we sell light bottles and give all of our profit to Fleetwood Mustard Seed Group which supports the homeless, vulnerable and people in crisis.
We can provide character references.

This is Steve and Gill's third housesit for us and we've already booked them for another two! They are excellent in every way -their communication is great, our pets are so well cared for and they leave the house immaculate.
What a fabulous couple of housesitters! We had great communication throughout despite me losing my phone! Such nice and positive people.
They were absolutely brilliant with- and very caring of my dog Meg who is suitablly exhausted now I'm back - wonderful (lol)! .
They left the house spotless.

Steve and Gill certainly deserve all their five star reviews! They really are lovely people and as soon as you meet them you immediately know that they genuinely care about looking after your pets and home. We felt completely at ease going away leaving our two dogs in their very capable hands. When we arrived back it was as if nobody had been there, everything was perfect. I wanted to post a reivew for our Jan 24 house sit to say thank you to Gill & Steve for their understanding and flexibility. It was hugely regretful that I was taken into hospital unexpectedly and as a result, we were unable to travel. Steve and Gill recently looked after our crew - one dog, one cat, two chickens and the house. Right from the beginning we felt comfortable about leaving them with our “family”. There was great communication before and during. The animals appear to have had a fabulous holiday with them - lots of attention, brushes, walks etc and adventures with the dog to NT grounds, cafes etc. The house was left clean and tidy - which was very much appreciated. Steve and Gill are the perfect house sitters. They took fantastic care of our less than straightforward dogs, our cats and the hens. They left the house immaculately clean and tidy and their communication is perfect. This is their second house sit for us and we've already booked them for next summer. It’s been an absolute pleasure to have Gill and Steve come to our home and look after our six dogs for a second time. The dogs were very happy in their company and we were sent little updates with pictures while we were away.
This was very reassuring, as we do miss the dogs, even if it’s just a day or two.
We were also a little a-taken back by the fact the house was slightly cleaner than before we had left.
This was not expected, but was very much appreciated!

I really cannot recommend Steve and Gill more highly. Their communication, care, compassion and the pride they take in doing everything perfectly is truly impressive.
They communicated brilliantly ahead of the house-sit and reassured me that our elderly (sick) dog wouldn’t be an issue for them. We have 3 dogs (small, medium and large) two cats and hens so ours isn’t a housesit for the faint hearted! Gill and Steve are absolutely lovely. Good, honest and genuine people. The communication was perfect from first contact, through to the house/dog sit. When we returned, we could tell immediately that the dogs were more than happy in their company.

It was an absolute pleasure to have Stephen and Gill looking after our dog, Poppy and the house. I felt completely happy leaving her, safe in the knowledge that she would be well cared for by a kind, reliable couple. When we returned she was clearly contented and the house was beautifully kept. I would have no hesitation recommending Stephen and Gill as house sitters and would happily leave Poppy in their care again.

I would like to review Gill and Steve as 5 stars in every aspect, really friendly people as soon as you meet them and extremely comfortable and happy to be caring for larger breed dogs. I recieved great communication from them and lots of pictures with the dogs on adventures to keep me updated. House was also sparkling when I returned, couldn't recommend this fab couple enough!
