I’m Chiara, 31, and until this year I lived in Glasgow, Scotland where I finished a PhD in English Lit. I have a full-time remote job for a legal company and also do some self-employed editing work on the side, so since January I’ve been enjoying the nomadic lifestyle, travelling around the country for house-sits. When I’m not working I love getting outdoors, hiking, wild swimming and also exploring new cities. I have experience looking after cats and dogs mostly, though more recently hens, sheep and even llamas! Please feel free to reach out if you feel like I’d be a good fit for your home or pets :)

Chiara came to my aid when my arranged sitter had to cancel due to a personal emergency. Her communication was spot on right from the start and she took time to ask questions to make sure everything was understood. It became a bit of a baptism of fire as one of my big cats needed pills a couple of days before the sit, and my smallest took poorly with a stomach upset during the sit. Chiara is absolutely fantastic and very reliable. She looked after our cat Daisy for 3 weeks in July. We received regular updates from Chiara. Our cat had fantastic care and looked very happy with Chiara. Communication was great. We could not have asked for a better housesitter.

Chiara looked after our house and garden for 3 weeks. Her communication was excellent before, during and at the end of her stay. The house was clean and tidy when we returned. In the garden she mowed the lawn and watered plant pots, although she warned us in advance that a twisted ankle meant the lawn was a little long when we returned. Chiara made friends with our two dogs very quickly and, despite not having previous experience of looking after some of our other animals, was very competent in caring for them all following handover. One of our dogs had undergone surgery several weeks previously and we had a sick hen which needed to be kept in isolation and she was very caring and attentive to their 'special' needs. Chiara has been amazing with our elderly cocker spaniel. She was updating me with pictures and was responding quickly to messages what gave me a great peace of mind. Chiara arrived a night before so we could meet and I knew that I'm leaving my dog and house in good hands. She stayed a night longer when our flights got cancelled which is greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend her as pet sitter and certainly would call back next time we are away.
