54, Public Health Specialist
I work as a Public Health Specialist in a local authority. I have spent most of my working life in the NHS, as a nurse, midwife, health visitor and public health manager.
I have two grown up daughters. I recently moved from Northumberland to the North West and am very much enjoying exploring this area.
I have lived in a rural area on a farm for most of my adult life. We have always had pets, labradors, cocker spaniels, working collies, cats, hamsters, ferrets. etc.
I have experience of puppies from birth.
As my daughters are now more independent I'm interested in travelling more and house sitting seems a good option to see a bit more of the UK and the world. When travelling on my own, house sitting provides a good balance of free time and focus. I really enjoy the company of animals.
I have experience with dogs, cats, hamsters, mice, reptiles, ferrets, sheep, hens and ducks and some experience with horses. I am confident walking dogs, experience of up to 7 at a time.
I have cared for families and friends pets on a number of occasions in my own home as well as house sitting experience through this site. I have working experience of housekeeping.
I am capable, competent, reliable and tidy. I am used to managing a team of 20 + people and am able to problem solve in most situations. I will be respectful of your home and care for your pets and animals as I would my own, with calm and affection.
