We believe in “one life, live it” and we quit our full time jobs in 2022 to go travelling across North America in our overland vehicle leaving behind our three adult children in the UK.
The last year has been truly wonderful, but two of our children graduated university last year and so we have returned home for a few months. Unfortunately, a visit to the GP didn’t go well for Dan and so we’re having to stay in the UK for a bit longer than we had anticipated.
Before heading off in our overland vehicle, we put our furniture into storage and rented out our house, so while we are back in the UK, we have been staying with family, friends and have done a number of house sits up and down the country - which we have absolutely loved.

We have both had cats since childhood and Geraldine grew up with dogs. Dan is an Engineer so usually fixes any of those household problems like blocked drains or dripping taps that arise from time to time.
We are non-smokers and try to have the lightest of footprints in your home while we are there.

Dan & Geraldine are utterly perfect! They had 7 cats to look after and did so to a very high standard - the house was clean and tidy, bedding had been washed, the lawn mowed....and we had very happy cats on our return. They kept us updated on them (as we miss them so), so felt completely relaxed while we were away. We cannot thank them enough for what they have done, and we will be keeping in touch with them for sure. Absolute gems of people. xxx

Dan and Gerlandine were absolutely brilliant house-sitters - I couldn't have asked for better!! They were so attentive to Kubu's interests and needs, especially his medication routine. They stayed in regular contact and updates with videos and pictures. I could tell our Kubu enjoyed their company thoroughly. They are a such a lovely couple who are kind, thoughtful and reliable - I would highly recommend them and would gladly welcome them back to housesit for me again in the future! :)

Communications in the run up to and during the house sit were great - we got daily updates and photos and it was clear our cat Nala immediately warmed to them. Dan & Geraldine were our perfect house and pet sitters. Lovely people, caring & kind to our animals. I had been treating Bob (one of our hens) for a couple of weeks before they arrived as she had a bad toe. I had hoped it would heal before they arrived but it was not fully better. They could not have been more helpful leading up to the sit.
