Friendly, courteous and sensible couple with many years of pet owner experience. We have previously owned horses, dogs, cats, sheep and chickens and not forgetting the odd guinea pig and goldfish or 2. Willow our horse made it to the ripe old age of 34 and we'd had her since she was 3 months old. We've had dogs for most of our lives and greatly miss having them around (the last being a Dalmatian and a Patterdale Terrier) and we would like a few years of travel before we commit to some more four legged friends.

We are fit and healthy, non-smokers, keen walkers, love gardening and custodians of our 17th Century Grade II listed house.

We fully understand we will need to provide the highest levels of care and consideration required when you would be trusting your cherished possessions with us, our experience will mean you can relax and enjoy your time away knowing everything is in good hands.

Jane and Steve came to us for the second time to look after our house and two dogs for a week. All went very smoothly and we received regular updates, photos and video clips whilst we were away and this reassured us that the canine kids were completely settled and happy. As we had not used Housesitters before we were apprehensive but Jane and Steve were lovely and put us at ease straightaway. The dogs were very relaxed and in their own environment and Jane kindly sent updates and photos to reassure us of this. On our return, the house was clean and tidy and the bedding and towels washed and dried. The plants had all been watered and were looking good. Jane and Steve were kind enough to do a 3 night house sit for me. They are very organised and made sure they knew all the details of how to care for the animals and the house. They checked on my horses, cows, small flock of sheep, chickens, dogs and cat. They did a great job, allowing me to be away and not worry at all about the animals or the house.
