We are a family that loves pets and travel!

In April 2024 we will be moving to the UK from New Zealand and want to do some exploring before we find a place to settle down.

In NZ we have been fortunate to have owned a farm for 5 years and then a large property in town for 6 years. In that time we have had cows, chickens, ducks, bees, sheep, dogs and cats. We are big animal lovers and have had many British travelers stay in our homes and look after our pets whilst we have been away traveling. We have had great experiences each time we have had a sitter so now we want to do the reverse 😀.

A little bit about us.

Neil is in his 40s and works in the renewables industry. A hydrologist by trade but the last few years has been running power stations in NZ. Neil loves his gardening and outdoors and is a certified Bee Keeper.

Bridget (me) I am in my 40s and I work as a organisational psychologist. I love animals and in particular dogs. A hobby has been fostering rescue pups which has been a really fun and rewarding side hobby. I also love to walk and run for miles so walking dogs is never a problem.

Charlotte is 11 years old and is also a dog lover and artist.

Jack is 9 years old and adores cats and building things. One of his projects was building our chickens a chicken swing 😂.

I have included photos of all the pets we have had and looked after over the years. We still have our GSP Luna and our cat Oscar who we will be bringing over to the UK at some stage.

We are really looking forward to exploring the UK and also meeting some new furry friends. Because we have had many house sitters ourselves we understand how it feels to let people in our home and look after our treasured fur children 😀.

Neil did a wonderful job of looking after the house and pets. We had regular photos of the animals and could see that they were being well looked after. We came home to find the house the way we had left it and happy and content animals. We thank Neil for looking after the house and animals and wish him and his family all the best while the settle into the country.
