Hi, I am looking for someone to stay in my home to spend time with and care for my 10-year-old West Highland terrier.
She is a sweet natured dog used to a routine which involves two meals and two walks each day. She doesnโt like to be alone and so I never leave her for more than two hours in a day.
Our morning walks are usually on Dartmoor and a maximum of an hour - both is us are more about the journey than the destination so, whilst she is up there for exercise, it is never frantic fast paced event these days and can often involve spending a few moments sniffing a blade of grass!
Second walk of the day any time between 4 and 6 pm is usually a walk around the block and takes half an hour or so or more if meeting other dog owners for a chat ๐
At night, she is used to sleeping in her bed on my bed ๐ We live in a beautiful area, 15 minutes drive from Dartmoor and 5 minutes from Parke, a National Trust park. The town has too small supermarkets, a farmers market on alternate Saturdays, the excellent Bovey Larder,, cafes, Post Office, bakery and MAKE Southwest art and craft gallery with constantly changing exhibitions - and dog friendly cafe.
We have a small garden which, depending on the weather, will just require watering.
