Eastern Scotland - Scottish Borders

We are looking for house and pet sitters for our large Georgian villa with extensive gardens, situated in a small town in the bucolic Scottish Borders. We have 3 cats, around 15 chickens and 3 runner ducks in need of looking after. The gardens are quite extensive and the lawn will need mowing. Any extra gardening would be an added bonus! The house would be suitable for a couple or a larger family. We are ideally situated to explore the Scottish Borders abbeys, towns, beaches and countryside. 25 mins to the nearest beach (Coldingham Bay), Holy Island of Lindisfarne 40mins. Edinburgh approx.1 hour. We have a dedicated double/twin guest room. There is a separate holiday let at the back of the house which may have short stay guests (we have a friend who comes and cleans). Please note there is no TV at the house. We have many strategy board games though for you to use.

Kathi & Eric were welcoming hosts, who very generously allowed us to use their apartment for 3 nights prior to them going on holiday.. We enjoyed caring for their cats, hens & ducks. We were able to explore the local area. The property does not have tv, however, there is an extensive library & a wealth of board games. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

We received a warm welcome from Kathi and Eric and felt at home very quickly. The cats were all very chilled and two in particular enjoyed lots of affection from my daughter. The chickens and ducks were a lot of fun to watch (especially as there were lots of cute chicks) and my son enjoyed being in charge of the cockerel (may have been the other way around in reality). We had a fabulous week with lots to see and do in the area and would definitely recommend to others.
